“Gold Star” sounds like a military operation or a political incident or scandal. I get that people want Reid to come back based on the cliffhanger but in-universe, there’s no way Reid would want to be involved with that, plus his expertise wouldn’t be highly useful for that. Yes he has a high IQ, but that hardly does much for something where there’s legal ramifications from it
