Harry is trying to settle back into his relationship with Cho after his complete amnesia of the last 5 years. He can’t help but feel uneasy. There is the dreaded matcha tea that is just forebodingly bad, there are the deleted texts from a deleted number from over 3 years ago. Harry feels restless and he needs answers and surely the person who has been deleted would be the one person Cho was not close with and would perhaps tell him the truth.
Chapter 22: Mess is Mine
He wondered if he should have lied. If it needed more nuance.
He did not get a chance, because Neville came running up the stairs, barged into their living room out of breath and announced that the Minister of Magic was at their door.
“Did you let him in?” Harry asked, rising from the couch
Neville shook his head. “No.”
“Bold choice,” Ginny commented as she stood up too. “I assume you mean he’s here for us?”
So Cross My Heart writing has not been going well and I feel like lost sense of the tone and some minor details which has made me feel uninspired, so I've put myself in reread jail so I can get a sense of the pace and tone again and taking notes on things I should mention that I might have forgotten about it in the meanwhile

Chapter 19: Somewhere only we know
They spent dinner downstairs with the rest of them and theorised about reactions long after dinner until the doorbell rang.
“I’ll get it,” Neville said, already up.
He came back a moment later, looking pale. “It’s Cho.”
Harry felt as though his stomach had turned to lead. Ginny’s head snapped towards Neville and the rest of them let out several surprised noises.
“How the hell did she find us before the Ministry did?” Harry let out.
“Do you want me to get rid of her?” Seamus said.
Harry decided not to ask if he meant by the door or permanently. “I suppose I better bite through this bullet now.” He looked towards Ginny.

“There are risks involved and I understand entirely not wanting to take them. In fact, that may be the wiser choice.” He paused, but Ginny didn’t speak. “Did you decide?”
“I did,” Ginny confirmed, her eyes locked with his.
It was like oxygen had left the room, he hardly dared to breathe at all.
He braced himself for the reply before he could bring himself to ask the question. “What’s the verdict?”
Ginny breathed out and then shot him an intense look that he could have lived on for the rest of his life.

Chapter 18: Carry You Home
She wiped her hands on a nearby towel. “Okay, then what took you so long?”
“Now or the first time?”
Her expression softened. “…the first time.”
“Certain people’s relationship status… a sense of self-preservation.” He wrapped his arms around her waist. “He may never see her again, he may as well give it a shot.”
Ginny rolled her eyes. “I hope you know you’re contradicting yourself.”

Under the cut for those who don't want spoilers and also subject to change because I'm really still in the middle of writing this chapter.
He learned several unpleasant things at once. Most significantly that she had broken up with a long-time boyfriend before she came here and he felt like he had something to do with that. Also that she was famous enough to have articles written about her personal life. That she was dating his former dorm mate Dean Thomas and last and certainly least, that Dean had become a model.
“What?” Ginny asked.
He looked up from his phone. He was trying not to jump to conclusions, but it was difficult not to. “You broke up with your boyfriend before you came here?” He briefly showed her the phone.
Her expression dropped. “They found out about that?”
“Why?”
“Who would have told them?” Ginny wondered out loud as she rested her fork on her plate.
“Why didn’t you tell me about this?” he asked her. “That seems kind of major.” He would have hated to accidentally pry about something that was so recent.
Her gaze snapped to him. “That has nothing to do with you.”
Which he didn’t think about until she said it. “It seems connected.”
Her hand balled into a fist on the table. “It was time, I was just waiting for the right moment and that was it.”
“Does he know you were coming to see me?” Harry continued.
Her glare turned cold. “No, because that’s no longer any of his business.” She stood up and grabbed her phone. “Don’t follow me up.”
Without another word, Ginny walked out of the room, her food barely touched. He could feel the eyes of the other guests on him but he could hardly start to care. The little appetite he had was now completely gone, and anything he bit into felt like sawdust in his mouth.
Against his better judgement, he clicked on the article.
Harpies’ star Chaser Ginny Weasley has broken up with her long-time beau Dean Thomas. Thomas is a model and activist and Witch Weekly’s three-time winner of the most charming smile.
An insider told us that Weasley broke it off shortly after the win of the Cup. Why the split happened is unclear, but everyone is keen to find out. Thomas always spoke very fondly of his girlfriend.
Weasley has never been willing to share much about her love life with the public, and that included Thomas. She has always been keen to protect her privacy since her first boyfriend in the public eye, the junior Auror Potter. Dean Thomas was the first confirmed boyfriend since their split 3.5 years ago. While she was sighted with several dates in between, none of those relationships were ever confirmed.
The split up between Weasley and Thomas came as a surprise after they had been going steady for half a year. They were spotted right before the Cup on a date and they looked perfectly happy at that time. Did something dramatic happen or had the relationship started cracking invisibly before it finally broke…?
