so whats up w cmi blaze again i forgot

Blaze is a ballet dancer!!! She's also a college student ^_^ I just decided to brainstorm for the ballet aspect tho. Gardon and the Coconut Crew run a ballet/gymnastics/whatever place, and Marine is one of the patrons who is also adopted by Setter. Gardon specifically does Ballet and might be specifically hired as Blaze's personal teacher bc she's SOOO RICH that she can afford one.

I think Big is just a lovely fisherman in Green Hill who everyone feels comfortable hanging with. He also plays the acoustic guitar and is just very chill. I think Big was a big presence in Sonic's life when his family was going through stuff, and he might've been who got Sonic into guitar and maybe he gifted Sonic his guitar. Sonic already liked music and could play piano, but Big could've gotten him into guitar :) comfort instrument

What's CMI Metal's backstory?

Okay so first things first I gotta pull out the family tree. Now, as all conversations about Metal go, we'll start with Sonic /hj

So Sonic's parents (Feels and the currently unnamed father, UF) were married and had Sonic, then UF had an affair with Mecha, and Mecha had Metal. Sonic is older than Metal btw, but I'm not sure if their age gap is 2 months, a year, 2 years, idk. When Sonic got older, he found out UF was having an affair and told Feels. They got divorced and Sonic said he wanted absolutely nothing to do with UF. So, UF married his side piece.

UF kinda treated Metal like a replacement for Sonic, but it was clear early on that, no, Metal was not like Sonic, and UF saw that exclusively in a negative light. Metal is autistic (nonverbal with low empathy) and also has chronic pain. Metal couldn't pretend to be Sonic, so he suffered abuse. Years and years of resentment built up, getting more and more mad at the world.

At 18, Metal was kicked out. His parents wanted to get him off their backs. He carried on decently until he caught a certain man's eye. Dr. Robotnik, seeing such a vulnerable person, decided to do an act of "charity," taking him under his wing and giving him a place to stay and food to eat. This act of "kindness" from the doctor had a profound impact on Metal. He decided that, no matter what, he would do anything for Robotnik, no matter how dangerous. This was exactly what the doctor wanted. He now has a subordinate who is completely under his thumb, and he's glad to use that power.

So yeah I put him through the wringer. This is just backstory anyhow.

What’s going on with the babylon rogues? you’ve shown us a bit that Jet and Sonic were in a toxic abusive relationship, but what about Storm and Wave? Anything happening with them?

The Babylon Rogues are in a sports team! Extreme Gear racing is a sport, so that's their livelihood. They live in Night Babylon (a Central City district) and Wave and Rouge are dating!!

Now, backstory and dynamic stuffs are below cut bc it's so long. Tw for abuse

When Jet and Sonic were together, Jet and the rest of the Babylon Rogues lived in Station Square, maybe in some kinda apartment. All of them are siblings btw, and their dad was abusive and wasn't around much at all, especially as time went on (he went to get a pack of cigarettes). Wave and Storm hated that guy but Jet didn't for a long time so they didn't talk badly about him (if he sends Jet birthday cards, he must be good, right?). Jet is their baby brotherrrr they don't wanna hurt him. Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if the man got imprisoned once and called on Storm for bail money (I think Wave would talk Storm out of it bc despite disliking the guy, Storm would wanna help). All of them are maladjusted and have bad tempers bc of things that happened. Wave knew about Sonic but didn't intervene at all with what was going on. Since she doesn't really know what's healthy or not, she thought that having Sonic around would be good for Jet, finally he has a friend his age who can keep up with him, challenge him, and put him in his place. Theoretically, things should've been good, but, since both of them were going through rough times, they were even more explosive and attention seeking when it came to one another. Storm is more protective of Jet than Wave is (in an ILL FUCK U UP IF YOU HURT HIM sense) so Jet usually gets Storm off his back when going to hang out with Sonic. Storm, being the oldest, kinda TRIES to be the adult but he's not great at it. Wave definitely picks up slack, but Jet doesn't as much. Wave is the only one who's very situationally aware out of the three tbh. Jet doesn't really see how much Storm and Wave struggle because he's not as aware (and he's caught up in his own feelings. Big feeler), while Storm knows Jet is v explosive and he TRIES to help but he's not great at it </3. Wave is the one with the most common sense but she doesn't do as much for Jet as you'd expect, she moreso helps Storm out tbh, since Storm needs support since he's had to take a caregiving role.

Anyways my maladjusted birds... This all came out of nowhere but I love them.

Anyways, Storm and Wave def have jobs (Maybe some manual labor for Storm and a mechanic for Wave?). Jet had some kinda part time job somewhere. Wave tinkers w extreme Gear in her free time and all three of them go to the skate park together:)) Jet goes the most often though, which is how he met Sonic.

Is Sage sentient in CMI like in canon?

YEPP, She's got character to her!

I'm just gonna yap about Sage now lmao. She actually hates being a program/virtual assistant, she wishes she could be a real person. She's used to harvest info from ppl for targeted ads, because she's a virtual assistant that's kinda spyware, but over time she becomes more and more sassy and malicious towards the consumers because she's getting more and more upset about being a program.

She's also a virtual idol and is a vocaloid, which is used to incentivize ppl into using her. She's got a holographic body that can be projected from some things, but she might also get an android body eventually, but idk ^_^ I mean, the E-Series are here, so robots do exist

What specifically IS Metal’s deal with Little Planet? They seem to have a lot of animosity with each other or at least some one sided animosity, Metal seems very… not fond.

Ok ok so first let me link Metal's backstory

Most of Metal's animosity towards Little Planet is just an extension of his animosity towards Sonic. Metal was always in Sonic's shadow, even though they never formally met. Sonic couldn't care less and they only makes him more mad. Metal mostly hates Sonic, Amy (Amy and Metal have the same birthday, so it just makes him feel like NOTHING is his, everything that he could possibly claim as his own was stolen away by Sonic and his friends), and Tails (Sonic's "little brother" by choice when Metal and Sonic are brothers by blood. It feels like a careless betrayal in a way.) Metal doesn't beef w Knuckles besides in a "ew Sonic's friend" way, but Metal might develop beef w Shadow because he sees similarities in himself and Shadow. Idk.

ALSO!! Little Planet (mostly Sonic) beef w Eggman because of corrupt practices, pollution, and other ethical/environmental factors. And since Metal is like mentally ill about Eggman, and Metal also has a broken moral compass, he is SOOOO ready to do anything to mess them up.
