Engulfing Sunset !!! One of the many theories regarding the Future of Earth speculates that in about a few billion years, the Sun will swallow the Earth and seal its fate. Well, I don’t know if this will surely happen or if we will linger around long enough to witness such a significant event. Temat Moments jest mi bardzo bliski. Nasze życie wszak definiują właśnie momenty - olśnień, ważnych spotkań, przełomowych decyzji. Czasem te momenty przychodzą po latach poszukiwań. Czasem zupełnie znienacka. Zwykle jednak ich prawdziwe znaczenie zaczynamy rozumieć dopiero po jakimś czasie. I o tym będzie moje wystąpienie - o momentach, które mnie zdefiniowały i o tym, jak z perspektywy czasu zaczęłam rozumieć ich sens. O tych bardzo trudnych i o tych najpiękniejszych, z których każdy był niezwykle ważny, bo kolejne nie mogłyby się wydarzyć bez niego.

Patrycja Obara – współwłaścicielka i trenerka głosu w Muzycznej Garderobie; menedżerka Cloud Theater – teatru w chmurze; wokalistka, autorka tekstów i współautorka muzyki w zespole The Tactopers. Prowadzi szkolenia z zakresu wystąpień publicznych oraz szkolenia dla biznesu, w których muzykę (i muzykowanie) wykorzystuje do rozwijania umiejętności miękkich.

CULTURAL STRATIGRAPHY

A year ago we started a research in the world of soils; with Cultural Stratigraphy, we aimed to compare the complexity of the urban terroirs in relation to the society that produced it. Through an analogy between these two elements, we translated characteristics of urban soils into factors of urban change. We compared the past, the present and the future of Montpellier, we mapped the differences in the urban layout, using old postcards, today’s pictures and future projects and drawings.  5 scenarios resulted as Cautionary Tales About Mediterranean Cities, as we called it,  future perspectives which interpret and forecast the evolution of the urban environment based on the soil as an agent.

STRATIGRAFIA CULTURALE

Un anno fa abbiamo cominciato un progetto di ricerca sul mondo dei Suoli; con Cultural Stratigraphy abbiamo voluto paragonare la complessità dei terroir urbani - in relazione alle società che li hanno prodotto. Attraverso un’analogia tra questi due elementi abbiamo tradotto le caratteristiche dei suoli urbani in fattori di cambiamento urbano. Mettendo in parallelo passato presente e futuro della città di Montpellier abbiamo mappato le differenze nella configurazione urbana, usando antiche cartoline, fotografie di oggi e disegni e progetti futuri. Ne sono risultati 5 scenari, racconti premonitori per le città mediterranee, come li abbiamo chiamati, prospettive future che interpretano e prevedono l’evoluzione urbana basata sul suolo come agente di cambiamento.
