So, am I supposed to pursue computer programming?

Three weeks ago or so, I interviewed at a company for a programming/IT position. I had applied for data entry. (I still haven't heard back, yes or no, despite calling a couple times.)

Today, thanks to my Apple hat, I was at the local grocery store and was approached by a man who grew up here at the edge of Amish Country. but now lives in Florida working for a Massachusetts company that seems to specialize in home automation tools.

(Now that's a great run-on sentence or something.)

He was asking me how much AppleScript and Automator I knew.

I guess I really need to get over my notion of being some kind of desktop publisher, graphic designer, editor, or proofreader.
