My quest is to create comic book coloring without using the halftone fudge. I did a test in Illustrator using one dot pattern only and, most important, only pure CMYK colors . . You can see the diversity of colors. And this using only one mechanical dot pattern. There hundreds of patterns the BenDay Dot men used in the early days. . It appears I will be inking on paper then creating a black layer in Photoshop. This will then be used in Illustrator for the coloring.
