Causes of brittle injection molded products
Product brittleness is often due to material degradation during injection molding or other reasons.
Injection molding problems: <1> The barrel temperature is low, increase the barrel temperature; <2> The nozzle temperature is low, increase it; <3> If the material is easily thermally degraded, reduce the temperature of the barrel nozzle; <4> Increase the injection speed; <5> Increase the injection pressure; <6> Increase the injection time; <7> Increase the full pressure time; <8> mold temperature is too low, increase it; <9> The internal stress of the workpiece is large, and the internal stress is reduced; <10> There are stitching lines in the parts, try to reduce or eliminate them; <11>The screw speed is too high and the material is degraded.
Mold problem: ①The product design is too thin; ②The gate is too small; ③ The shunt channel is too small; ④Add reinforcement ribs and rounded inner corners to the finished product.
Material problem: ①Material contamination; ② The material is not dried well; ③ There are volatiles in the material; ④There are too many recycled materials in the material or too many recycled materials; ⑤ The material strength is low.
Equipment problems: ①The plasticizing capacity is too small; ② There are obstacles in the barrel to promote material degradation. Therefore, in the production process, we must avoid the above problems, and constantly monitor the production process of the mold to prevent the product from becoming brittle.
