Carlton Childs Sr. stood with me when I was at my lowest. One of his sons and I were high school dropouts and caught a few strong armed robbery charges together. Elder Childs, his wife, my mom and our public defenders pleaded with the court to not send us to prison since we were first time offenders, and I was 17. We were sentenced to 4 months in a juvenile bootcamp. • • I’m thankful for you Elder Childs, and I love you.
