Sunset in Paradise (Bay) by Andrew Kirby Via Flickr: Paradise Bay at sunset is such a wonderful playground for photographers, it has beautiful lighting and there is always a fantastic view to be had. Plus there's plenty of great rides along its 'boardwalk'. That said this wasn't one of my favorite shots out of the camera, so I decided to do a bit of experimenting during processing. This is a culmination of a total of 6 shots, 3 each merged into an HDR and then those two merged into a panorama. I like the way it sorta gives a fisheye feel to the image so I decided to post it. I know I've done a panorama of this area before but I think this one turned out better than last time. Small World of Color by Andrew Kirby Via Flickr: I think this is the first fireworks shot that I've done from it's a small world. It wasn't my first choice in places to shoot fireworks from but when there were tons of people already lining Main Street I gave up on that idea. It was actually pretty convenient to shoot from here, there was an elevated section to set up my tripod in, a little gate that prevented anyone from bumping it, and a table next to me to put all my gear down on. As for the shot, this is a 4 shot HDR, processed with Camera Raw, CS5, and some Nik Software. I know it's not perfect in exposure on some of the highlights, I must've bumped the focal length when I put on my ND filter so I couldn't get my shots to align in post. It was either get the highlights and lose the reflections or bad highlights with reflections. Oh well, you should learn something every time right? Please don't hesitate to tell me what you think, comments and constructive criticism are welcome and appreciated! :) **I viewed this on a friends computer and either it was their display or Flickr but it did some crazy stuff with the brightness of the shot and made the sky look awful, it showed all the brush strokes I did when I masked the images together and made me really upset. If this looks like that to you do me a favor and tell me what you're viewing it on, I tried many different devices and that computer was the only one that messed with the photo. Thanks!
