Celebration @ Coastes
Joan turned 18 recently, so of course we had to celebrate the occasion by donning our skimpy bikinis and heading down to cOaStEs @ SeNtOsA to show off our summer beach bods!
Burgers, seafood platter, risotto and more fries. And of course, drinks! Coz drinks are mandatory!
We spent the evening talking and gossiping so much that we lost track of time; it was almost 10pm when we left? Wtf?
I also got very obviously checked out by someone on the monorail otw to Sentosa and was trying to play it cool by pretending that I was oblivious to getting checked out, but Joan totally noticed it and took pictures, becuz evidence.
Then she promptly proceeded to tell Dills when we saw her at Coastes, and those two had a whale of a time teasing me the entire evening. Thanks guys. Who needs enemies when you have friends like this?
Anyway, I digress.
Beef Bacon Burger!
I dare say that Coastes serves the best burgers in Singapore. Nothing fancy, just thick, juicy burgers with loads of melted cheese and crispy fried bacon. A tad pricey, but worth the dollars spent.
It would have been a really perfect day if not for the rude host who spoiled our mood just because we asked for a seat on the deck instead of the beach (Coastes will be hearing from me soon with regards to this), which wasn't a difficult request because there were plenty of deck seats to begin with but the asshole acted like we had asked for gold plates and cutlery.
Anyhow, thank god for google reviews where you can complain about shitty service which the whole world gets to read afterwards :)
Sunsets at Sentosa are usually breathtaking but the weather was absolutely weird that day (it was blazing hot during the afternoon but it got cloudy after that wth) so we weren't treated to the usual dazzling hues of pink and peach; but this wasn't too shabby either.
