The Very Versatile, Stunngingly Flattering Little Red Ridinghood Coat
I personally bought a very similar coat about two years ago, I loved it so much, I used to "stalk" it, waiting to see how much it would drop down to before snatching it up. And not only was I the only person that fell in love with it, but I had so many friends that also seemed to have fallen head over heels in love with it too (with one of my NZ friends asking me to keep my eyes open for her!).
So when I spied this gorgeous variation at Swan Emporium whilst out and about, I knew that I simply had to take a few quick selfies and share it with you all, showing just how you can style it! And yes, it's one of those rare finds that works on any body shape and can be dressed up and down very easily....
The beautiful thing about this coat is the oversize hood/collar. Oversize hoods/collars are fantastic for framing the face and adds proportion for those that are more pear shaped, creating an hourglass shape. In the main picture (to the left) I have styled the collar in a very relaxed way by simply letting it fall naturally, perfect for a relaxed weekend look with jeans and knee high boots. In the top right corner picture, I have styled it as more of a hood but because there so much glorious material, I have folded back the edge of the hood so it doesn't envelop my face (great for chilly evenings!). And lastly, the bottom right corner picture, I have rolled the collar out, to create a beautiful regal style, perfect for adding a more formal statement.
