More props and things! Featuring Denny! I've still gotta finish his shoes, but I wanted to do a photoshoot to test out interactions and things. He's got his own tiny stationery now!

What I've done so far under the cut

So here's what I've got so far:

The trash can and the balalaika I've posted here before. I gave the balalaika a paint job and added strings and apple blossom accents since last showing it. I also added a removable strap!

I also folded a few letters and made some pencils, and the pencil cup is a thimble I had, unaltered. Now he's got some stationary so he can send as many annoying letters as he wants lol. For some reason I didn't include it here, but I made a manila folder and a folded up, coffee-stained note too. You can sorta see them in the first pic, all the way at the top of the post.

Eventually I'm gonna make a whole post office and maybe some secondary scenes, so stay tuned I guess.

Currently working on my first drawing in forever. It's a short Adrik angst comic from a written idea paper I found crumpled up in my drawer.

Here's a WIP of a page (Sketches are just rough plans, not final):

he's joining a bunch of very confused protesters in beating up a papier maché effigy of himself. He really hates his public persona, but he keeps his act up for lots of reasons. It's hard to mask all the time, so sometimes he breaks down. I really need to make a big Adrik post explaining his lore and motives and stuff because he's one of those characters who's always in the back of my mind.

mini posters I mentioned in the previous post. I've still got some more to do, but I finished these three.

still really burnt out from drawing but apparently design doesn't count as drawing to my brain so here we are.

Tried to make the two posters kind of amateur, like something you'd see posted on a telephone pole in town or on a diner placemat. There's some fun easter eggs and references in some of them too.

also, behold this tiny poster that happened. I made a mistake exporting it and it is. sosmall. one inch.

Ideas and ramblings under the cut

This was kinda inspired by the papers I have laying around my job at a small specialty shop, and also my own personal bulletin board. I want the posted stuff to show the town's vibe, the workplace flow, and the personality of the people who work there. I'm having fun with it.

It's all somewhat lore relevant too. Ah yeah, the lore of the story I really never talk about here. Maybe one day...

Oh yeah, I've been working a bit on Denny too! A new paint job for his face and actual thumbs! I'll make a post about that too eventually.

Speaking of, I really need to find better lighting, because all I've got is a green lamp or the overhead light... makes the pictures come out a bit low quality.

OC INTRO: SERGIO GENEVA!

This is Sergio, he loves strong black tea, apple candy, and novelty arm prosthetics. He's a well-respected surgeon and the adopted dad of Deno, one of the protags! Drew this ref sheet because I wanted to draw him with a ring on (long story short, he divorced his wife on good terms and then went of to marry the concept of biology. He took "married to his work" literally [/hj])

FIVE FUN FACTS:

🍭 Used to wear a burlap sack over his head to hide his scars, which was at best unsettling. 🍭 Had to change dentists once because he punched the poor technician "in self-defense". 🍭 Has an ethereal white borzoi dog named Bolshoi. (He's named that because he is big.) 🍭 Very protective of his amazing pierogi recipe 🍭 The biggest queer ally you'll ever meet.

Fake magazine covers/promos for СОБАКА (The Dog)

Check these out! I decided to make these posters for my OC story, The Dog! They're supposed to represent different 'episodes' of the story, and each one will feature a different character or set of characters! Here's episodes 1 and 2 featuring Adrik, the antagonist, and Deno, the protagonist respectively!

I'm still in the process of planning it out, but episode progress might be posted soon! (keep in mind I'm a one man team and also an ambitious renaissance man who loves side-questin' so this might take a while.)
