On Christmas Day in 2010, my C Co, 1-87IN, 10th Mountain Div. brothers and I paused to break bread inside our tiny checkpoint/fire base, located in the hinterlands of Kunduz, Afghanistan in RC-N. The CP itself was a big middle finger to the Taliban, defiantly standing alone in a previously enemy held area, which we had fought for the past few months to secure. Eight years later I’m spending Christmas as a civilian, sitting stateside at home, enjoying the company of my family, and a warm meal not served from an air lifted mermite box. But in this holiday season, I often think back on those long days and nights in the Kunduz river valley, and reflect on all of the men and women in the same uniform currently away from their own families, holding the same line, and standing watch in harm’s way. 🎄🎁 All of us at Team LogOX wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas, especially our Military, First Responders, and Veterans! #TeamLogOX 👍🏼🇺🇸🌳 #10thmountaindivision #tothetop #cobrasneverquit #vetrepreneur #OEF #taskforcesummit #christmas #usarmy #mountain #veteran #wildlandfirefighter #firstresponders #LEO #merrychristmas #neverforget #remembereveryonedeployed #madeinusa #firewood #LogOX #treebiz #GWOT #americantoolsforwoodsmen https://www.instagram.com/p/Br1TxbTDhLE/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=151yyynvknud3
