because @coburniisms & jonas need a mother/son moment

it had been a rough day.

time travel wasn’t as easy as it looked. the shit the got themselves into was easily terrifying for anyone and he was worried. their family had come together again as if by a miracle and every day was another chance to lose them.

they had already broken the timeline once; the simple fact that he and miranda were alive had more of an impact than he was probably aware. and, sometimes, he got scared. losing his parents would be impossible to cope with.

wordlessly, he walked over and gave her a hug, burying his face in her shoulder and he knew, against all odds, they would stay together.

Jonas had been going to school for nearly 2 week’s now and it was still a bit terrifying to Rip, not so much because he didn’t think that his son couldn’t h- andle it. More because after everything that had happened he was a bit afra- id of him being away from him. Still, he knew it needed to be done if his son was going to have a happy and somewhat normal life.  Ray had managed to help them get set up in a place with the help of Felicity Smoke until they got on their own finance wise, and Martin had managed to get both him and Mi- randa a place as a member of star lab’s team.  Which got them on a payroll and gave them the chance to start getting thing’s together themselves.

                                        Now though he had no work for the day, the other’s there having                                         insisted on them finally taking the day to spend time together a-                                         fter everything that had happened. Caitlin had even offered to w-                                         atch Jonas after he was done at school.

                    “So Miranda, what would you like to do with our                     day off.”
