I’m the bustle of the weekend I completely forgot to post my cocktail of the week from Friday. So here goes! The Manhattan. The one that changed everything. The father of the Martinez and grandfather of the Martini. The founder of all french-Italian cocktails. Gary Regan reckons it is the finest cocktail on earth and I’m actually inclined to agree. Certainly my favourite so far! The first time I have used Angostura Bitters but I’m not so fancy yet as to own cocktail sticks (I must get some as I missed the maraschino cherry garnish). There’s something about this cocktail that is very warming, almost honey like.
