Snake Hybrid! Reader x Taskforce 141

Snake Hybrid! Reader, who isn't exactly exothermic (cold blooded,) but has an extremely hard time regulating their body temperature. Tending to hide under mountains of blankets in winter, even having to have special clothes and gear for missions in colder environments. Thriving in hot environments, but when they need to cool off, they just find the nearest cool water source and drench themselves.

After having his water bottle stolen about 8 times, Gaz starts carrying an extra water bottle for them. But even that gets old, and by the time the middle of summer hits, Ghost and the others have bought them a pool. Ghost picking them up, one hand on the back of their neck, immobilizing their head, and the other hand wrapped around their midsection, lugging them to the pool, and dumping them in, immediately cooling them off and becoming their favorite spot. Suddenly, 3 other pools show up at different places on base, with signs that say, **CAUTION: SNAKE PIT**

Snake Hybrid! Reader who, when grumpy, becomes a nope rope. Whether it's rearing up and back like a cobra, wrapping (attempting to) their arms around the Tf 141 boys and squeezing like an anaconda, or making a sound like a rattlesnake's rattle, makes their displeasure and mood known to all. At first, Ghost is the only one willing to deal with grumpy reader, but the others slowly learn how to handle them as well, and they all know when it's time to leave reader alone.

The Soldier

Taskforce 141 x Reader

This has literally been sitting in my notes for MONTHS, so I honestly don't know if it's any good or not.

Gender neutral reader. No mention of a name, their title will be referenced in the title of the writing.

Possible triggers: swearing, descriptions of war, blood, death. Depression and other mental health issues, which may include suicidal ideology or attempts, as well as self harm. If these trigger you in any way.... PLEASE don't read.

Standing up from the half shattered pew, in the middle of the ruins that was once a church. Staring at the cross, the one thing that was left intact. A taunting symbol, one that some say breeds hope. Yet. Those people are the ones who now lay below the cross, bloody and lifeless, no hope to be found. A silent prayer is said before the figure turns to leave. Walking out of the ruins, through what is left of a town, once a bustling place, now desolate, empty, silent. Blood runs through the street like rivers, the souls of the townspeople scream as they depart from this world, yet, a part of their souls will forever haunt their earthly homes. The entrance gates seem to hang in defeat, as if they know they were unable to protect those inside.

Stepping out of those gates, and onto the battlefield, stands the Soldier, bound by their sense of duty, and cursed to shed the blood of both guilty and innocent alike. Their bootprints seem heavier than the ones they left when they entered the town, it seems the ghosts of their actions already haunt them, just one more, one to add to the many that were already there. They trudge through the terrain, the sun beating down on them, yet, they don't feel the heat. No, instead, they feel nothing, just empty, desensitized to what's going on around them. The horrors of war that used to plague their dreams are no where to be found, just a blackness that consumes everything.

The Soldier meets up with the team, reporting to Price, and sitting in the plane, waiting for the others to board and get back to base. During the ride, the others try to make conversation with them, but the Soldier is silent, as they have been for a long time, only ever talking about missions. All attempts at conversation fails, and soon enough, the team falls silent as well.

The Soldier walks out of Price's office, heading to their room in the barracks, and packing their bags. One meeting with Laswell has them placed on leave, Laswell citing trauma and PTSD being the reason. They go on leave, only to never return again, leaving Price to pack up their room, and the entire base, to pick up the pieces of their lives.
