My Official Stance on the Aether storyline is that Blood->Tag did not happen, and the destruction of the cycle happened because one cycle had a total party kill on round 3 because of just how often a run ended in humiliating death in WaW-BO3.

Der Maschine/Cold War Zombies really looks like they took Infinite Warfare Zombies' skeleton, took Zielinski-era Aether zombies' muscles and organs, gave it WWII's skin, and threw on Aether's clothes like a Frankenstein's Monster.

Only Time (Travel) Will Tell if it returns to its roots, or if it'll be a fusion of all universes, and which would have been better
