Making a gate was a lot more difficult than making a wall. He had to build it as an extension to the wall without letting it set on the ground. It needed strong hinges, sturdy enough to basically hold a bunch of trees. This was a large wall, and needed an equally large gate.

Once the Lycanroc had gathered enough wood to make the gates themselves, he needed to go a bit further, past the forest itself. Nova needed to go and salvage some metal scraps, lots of them, any metal would do. He could make it work, but he needed a lot of it. He was pretty sure there was a scrap yard in one of the nearby towns...

The night had passed by smoothly. As far as he could tell, nobody even walked past the barricade, not that he was paying that much attention. But, after he came out of his trance, of sorts, there weren’t any tracks nearby. Now though, he could hear the calls of birds and distant calls of the dawn risers.

“A new dawn, time to get back to work.” Even though he’d not slept a wink, he was perfectly ready to continue working on this base. First thing on order was a gate for the front entrance. But, he’d have to travel a bit now, having already cleared the immediate area of trees for the wall.

As if he cared about any sort of trek, he could keep going no matter how long it took. Humming as he padded along the dirt paths to the ‘new’ edge of the forest that he’d basically created. And like the previous day, he went right to it, tearing down trees to make a large gate.
