They help market the city's shelter pups on a FB page called Urgent and Adoptables. SAPA helps extend a dogs time when called to the EBI Room by pulling them into the Building 1 kennels. This can give a dog additional days or weeks to find an adopter or foster/rescue. However, these dogs are still owned by ACS and can go to EBI again depending on space. Dogs are available after the “3 day stray hold” or “5 day microchip hold” and can be then be adopted, fostered, or euthanized. 🌐Note: Saving San Antonio Dogs is a Volunteer page - not associated with ACS or SAPA. She finally had a chance at a great life but it just wasn't the right foster home for her. When I met her the other day she sat so patiently for treats. Loved getting a toy to play with.
