As a child, I loved doing butterflies. Whether in gym or just on my own, this position has always been one of deep comfort. I don’t know why, but my hips need the stretch. If I don’t do yoga, I feel it the next day. I feel the tightness, the pain, and the popping. I can lay back and fall asleep with my legs in butterfly pose because it is honestly the most comfortable thing for my body. Recently I purchased a subscription to an online yoga class(es). They were running a special and I had followed the free content and challenges for a while and had been toying with the idea of purchasing this one or another I had found. In the end, I made the right choice with @omstarsofficial . I doubt any (or maybe a few) of my friends follow what has happened in the Instagram yoga community (and quite frankly I’m done with it too) but recently a big corporation tried to sue a yoga teacher silent. It was awful, especially for a young body positive teacher. The company had been one I had considered buying from but after looking into what the #Codyapp and their new partner #Aloyoga was, I passed and went with a organization that better matched my ethics and morals. They tended to mainly focus on a certain body type and advance poses, which is something we all know that I don’t have or can’t do. Omstars, however, has a vast majority of body types, class types, and amazing teachers. Anyway, my point is, in the grand scheme of yoga, I don’t matter. I am but a single person in my tiny apartment that wants to get better at my practice and myself. After just over 2 weeks with #omstarsyoga and @kinoyoga for classes and meditation, I feel like I am better. I might not be physically better, but I surely am mentally better. This isn’t a plug to purchase a subscription but more of a “find what does you well and do it” kinda thing. I was always a weird kid. From the way I always sit with my legs in butterfly to the fact hat I want to be a medical examiner when I grow up, but it fits for me. It all Lines up for me. I am extremely happy with the growth in my yoga over the past few years and I am more excited for the growth that is to come. I just wanted to share that with ya ☺️ (at Honolulu, Hawaii)
