maybe telling your fiancee that you quit your job right before she tells you she’s pregnant is not a good idea...

“I have to tell you something,” Cody began, sitting on the couch next to Alex. He just came home from work, still in his uniform.

“...That is?” She questioned, her heart dropped to her stomach. Every bad situation came to mind, wanting to break up? Did he find someone else? Are we losing the house?

“I got promoted.”

“What? I’m so proud of you!” She grinned from ear to ear.

“Yeah, but uh,” He brought his hand to his forehead and ran his fingers through his hair. “I quit.”

Alex’s eyes widened. “You what?” Her voice deepened, she was shocked.

“..I qu-”

“I know what you said!” She leaned over, putting her head in her hands. Alex’s eyes filled to the brim with tears.

“Wait, baby. It’s okay, we-”

“It’s not okay! I’m pregnant! How are we supposed to support our children when we’re both out of jobs!?”

His eyebrows raised in shock. His chest began pounding and he wiped a bead of sweat off his forehead. He then gently placed his hand on her back and rubbed small circles. “We’ll find a way. We always do.”

parenting problems.

“i feel like such a bad mom,” alex spoke quietly, her voice was breaking. cody could tell she was close to tears.

“you aren’t, my love.” he reached over to her and embraced her in his arms. “you’ll never be.”

her she took her hand off of her forehead and looked over to him. “i think i want to quit my job.” she rested her head on his shoulder, her saddened eyes avoiding his gaze.

“if that’s what you really want, i support you.”

meet cody turner.

he is a 26-year-old famous/world-renowned medical resident who lives in willow creek with his fiancee, alex simons. he has a 2-year-old daughter, aspen turner. 

he’s an only child and didn’t have plenty of friends when he was younger, but in high school is when he gained his popularity. he became famous when global superstar riley chambers came across his profile and posted a screenshot of one of his pictures on twitter. they met up and dated since they were 23.

riley’s job forced her to move around a lot. cody wasn’t exactly rich at the time and she didn’t want to pay for her half of the apartment they shared in san myshuno since she wasn’t living there. so, he posted an ad on an apartment website. that’s when alex applied and moved in a few weeks later!

3 months later, riley came back to san myshuno and someone she met (and got romantically involved with) followed her. cody found out and they broke up. then the love story of alex and cody came to play... but you’ll learn more about that later.
