Happy belated birthday @smiles4voltron !
Here’s a Coeihn Lance for you!
I’m really sorry it took so long! I should have done this long ago, so I’m sorry again! I just hope you’ll like this.
~~~~~
Lance was walking down the street, talking excitedly with Kac'ela. They were friends for a long time by now, sharing everything, including a bong even more powerful than than the one they both have with Tellru. If Kac'ela was a tiny bit older (barely four months), it didn’t stopped the fact that they considered the other like a twin. Literally attached to the hip, never separating (well, the less they could).
Today was warm and peaceful, filled with a light atmosphere the two Coeihns appreciated a lot, bathing in the warm light of the star acting as a sun for their world. The area they were wandering in weren’t crowded, a rare thing for this animated kingdom, especially so close to the castle. For them, it wasn’t something they could consider as bad. They were happy to pause there, make a break at times and profiting of the calm those almost deserted streets could provide. However, this wasn’t exactly why they were making a promenade here. Actually, the two boys were about to enter the castle to join Tellru, who, from her sayings, has something quite unique to show them. It was an uncredible, legendary occasion. And she was categorical that it was a one time thing in the entire Coeihns story.
Fortunately, Tellru alerted about their visits, and asked the permission from a certain person, unknown to both guys, but related to the coeihn Prince Manson himself. Unfortunately, many of the guards didn’t trusted them, for the simple reason that they were different. Rashra was also one of them, and both had to hide from his view. The man wasn’t someone they could relate on, and they knew his tendency to be violent, and getting mad easily. When they reached the room the woman told them to go to, they immediately open the door, and hastily closed it behind them. When Lance and Kac'ela turned around, they could see a girl with some sort of pink hair, standing there, visibly waiting.
“Finally, she exclaimed, I was starting to ask myself if you were really going to enter!”
“We’re sorry Tellru!” said Lance. Kac'ela nodded, guilt in his bright blue eyes. Tellru sighed.
“You two are impossible, especially together. I should have known by now.” she stated. She looked at them, before shaking her head in a disappointed manner, sighing again. Lance let out a desperate whining sound.
“Tel’, please, don’t give us that look! We had to sneak in at some point because the guards weren’t trusting us!” Lance whined. Tellru pinched the tip of her nose.
“And why?” she asked, with an exasperated voice. All the hours of waiting were starting to make them known from everyone in the closed, tight room.
Kac decided to respond for both Lance and him, opening his mouth for the first time since they entered the big palace. “You know the reason Tellru. It’s because we’re both ano- different…” he concluded, after getting a look from the girl, threatening him to say the word he was about to let slip from his lips.
“Why this discrimination is a part of your late arrival there?”
“We told you, they didn’t trust us.” Lance answered her.
“I can’t believe it. Even with him alerting the other…this shouldn’t have happen. I’m sorry guys, I should probably have come search you.”
They dismissed her apology, not mad at all for what happen, even if Lance was ticked off by the guards behavior. Between him and Kac'ela, he was the most energetic one, a bit rebellious, and easily revolted, especially about the treatment his practically twin received by other coeihns. A sharp cough teared him from his dark thoughts.
“Let’s dismiss it for now and talk about it later. I’ll have a discussion with someone about this. Right now, we should head out to the thing I wanted to show you.” Tellru told them, with a light hint of excitement, certainly for the big ‘surprise’ she was gonna make them see. Lance clapped his hands excitedly, curiosity and intense joy taking over. Tellru’s surprise had never failed him. Kac'ela smiled, barely containing all his questions, glistening in his eyes.
“Are you ready?” Tellru asked?
“Of course!” Kac said with a bright smile.
“Oh my god stop this tension Tel’ I was BORN ready!” the other nearly screamed in frustration.
His 'twin’ let out a giggle at this answer while the girl just shook her head with a grin, and the trio made their way out of the door, heading toward a darker part of the royal building. Lance was confused to see himself and his best friend directed to what he was certain, were the prisons.
“Tellru? Why are we going there?” he asked.
The woman didn’t turned around, but shushed him, and continued her way. Soon they were going downstairs, carefully to make sure they weren’t seen. They finally arrived to a jail, isolated from the others, with a special door, made in a weird material.
“Here we are, my darlings~” she sing song mockingly. Both guys groaned a little at the appellation. Finally, Tellru slowly opened the door. She entered the room, making her known with a slight whistle. A hollow sound responded her. Devoured by curiosity, Kac entered the prison, followed by Lance. He didn’t notice anything, until his gaze stepped on a form. Someone was sat down in the deepest and darkest corner of the room, hiding in the shadows. Sadness filled the atmosphere, at the same time deep and light. It was small, and shallow breathing could be heard- definitly a living being like him or Kac'ela, but from a totaly unknown race. One he never heard about before, but with no doubt clearly fascinating.
“A human…” Tellru whispered to him and his 'twin’.
A white skin, something Lance has never heard about before, contrasted with the dark of the jail. And dark hair, something priceless, with a big value in this kingdom! The coeihn with pale, luminescent blue marking and eyes a same color was more and more intrigued. Kac'ela held his breath, and Tellru was watching the scene, captivated by the magic this instant was surprisingly holding. Then, the unknown prisoner lifted what could only be his head, and Lance let out a gasp. The stranger had surprisingly similar features to a Coeihn, if it wasn’t for the absence of marks and the chocking color of his skin, pure and reflecting the light, even where they weren’t any.
But Lance didn’t notice it. He was hypnotized by something else. Deep violet, like he has never seen, burning with an unknown fire, tragic, gleaming with an intensity he could never imagine. Blinding his surroundings. Staring right back at his own sapphires, amethyst pouring in his soul, piercing and filling his mind. Bright purple, intense violet eyes were staring right back at him. And the charm, tragic and pure, didn’t stopped when the human pronounced his first words, opening his mouth.
(“I know you.”)
