The moment she had laid eyes on the Lady Brienne of Tarth, she had been surprised by the other woman. Everything Brienne stood for, Catelyn had only seen in men. And some of those things she had heard in the stories about Lyanna Stark. Though those sometimes seemed more myth than truth.
And now that she was riding slightly behind and to the right of the blonde woman, she still was not sure what she was all about. Brienne was looking straight ahead and did not really engage in any form of conversation, giving mostly just one-word-answers, or avoiding the question altogether.
Feeling like she needed to know more about Brienne, she hurried her horse a little until she was once more riding beside the Maiden of Tarth. “Brienne. I cannot say I have ever seen the Isle of Tarth, though I have heard so many great stories about it. Would you not tell me more about it?”
