Altar tour!
Felt like showing some pictures of my altars. The one on the giant trunk is a shared one for Hekate (on the right) and The Morrigan on the left, with the plastic drawers being a personal altar, which I’ll do a tour of in another post if you guys are interested in.
Anyway let’s get this tour started!
Main area. It’s a little clunky, but it works. I keep my dried herbs jars and other witchcraft tools and supplies in the trunk. Used to have a candle, and feather their with my chalice and crystals represent the elements, but my cat has proven to interested in feathers for me to keep it out in such plain view. The candle I used, and haven’t replaced yet.
Hekate’s side
Art pieces done for her. The white snake is on paper, and I need to laminate it, and the black one is made from model magic (pffft) and painted.
Here’s The Morrigan’s side!
There dnd miniatures I use to represent The Morrigan , or lessons she’s taught me. The one in the middle is one my younger sister started to paint, mistaking it for one of her characters before she realized she’d grabbed mine by mistake. I was going to finish it, but The Morrigan finds it cute, so I left it. The pendulum was a Christmas gift from my cousin @fathermartinarchimbaud . I did the painting of the crows eye, and the model magic apples. The raven statue was a secret Santa gift from @therosyrook last year. I bought the wooden one at Hobby Lobby this year.
The lantern and offering plate were the two pieces on my first altar, and continue to be a constant. The red Jasper was a request of The Morrigan.
So these are my altars. I’d love to see what you guys have on yours, and see how they’ve changed over time.
The coffee industry is developing rapidly now: professionals come out of the shadows, space is filled with knowledge, many courses appear. ⠀ I'm glad: what could be better than when a favorite drink begins to interest and becomes a hobby? But for me, to begin acquaintance with coffee, it is necessary not with the word “extraction,” but with interesting historical facts. Here are a few, enjoy reading!⠀ ⠀ ☕️Initially, a decoction was made from coffee berries, and the grains were not given a role. According to legend, for the first time grains were “fried” by accident: during a fire. From the remnants of the berries came a pleasant aroma, and people tried it. ⠀ ☕️When coffee began to spread (actively - in the 17th century), the superstitious and religious society of contemporaries did not accept this “black” drink. Therefore, the first coffee houses were closed by the church or the state. Then came the tax on coffee houses, and only after the establishment took root. ⠀ ⠀ ☕️ The first coffee house in Europe appeared in Venice. It is not surprising that Italians have always been foremost in the formation of the industry. ⠀ ⠀ The first espresso machines spilled water from steam pressure, so the espresso brewed for longer than a minute and did not have cream on the surface. The drink came to a modern look and taste for a long time as the equipment improved. First, the pressure was created from the lever (lever), and in 1961, Faema introduced the first machine with a pump (electric pump) inside. ⠀ ⠀ ☕️ Well, and the last fact, the term "coffee waves", i.e. stages of development of the coffee industry, Trish Rothgeb was presented not in the scientific spirit. She released an article with a story about her experience working in coffee shops in the United States and Norway and shared more observations. Now, this term has been elevated to the rank of “undeniable” and subsequent waves are coming up with. What. Before entering into a fierce skirmish with other baristas, I advise everyone to read the article
