Artist Line-Up: #10 Savanna (๑ゝڡ◕๑)
Tumblr: @coffeecakey | Twitter: coffeecakey
"Savanna has a really graphic style. Placing thoughtful 2-dimensional shapes and giving them delicate lines, bold textures, subtle 3D feeling and atmosphere! (I don't know ;;; I am sorry Savanna, I like what you do. It is really pretty and i would really like to hang it on my walls because it fits so well.)” - anonymous
“I saw the TLOZ art and thought FUCK, then I saw the rest and thought WOW that's an amazing style! I like how it is very stylistic most of the time? But there are different styles represented in their art, which is really cool?? Flexibility!! :O” - anonymous
“Ugh, beautiful art, I'm upset." - anonymous
“The use of texture is wonderful, in combination with the rather flat base drawing, it gives everything a wonderfully dynamic force and environment.” - anonymous
“Savanna’s art intrigues me on a much deeper level because a lot is going on all over the canvas. I especially, love the use of textures and colors but also the shapes. THE SHAPES PULL ME IN! And the art looks completely balanced and well thought-out. Like, there is a meaning behind every stroke and position, which is admirable. I love the art and how different yet same the style really is!” - anonymous
Besides the amazing art Savanna creates, they are also well known for having curated amazingly successful and beautiful zines, alongside their fellow bestie (Lindsay), such as HQ!! Heat Zine and the very recent, Voltron FamZine [The Pride]!
Looking forward to working with a fellow zine-ster in hopes of learning more and creating+sharing more beautiful content! Thank you for joining the project, Savanna!
[P.S. Kindly click the image and read through the content to know more about the artist!]
it's worth mentioning that constructive criticism should always be requested by someone for it to be given. also, art needing more "spice" brings nothing constructive to the table, as there is no instruction or actual advice. so, as someone who is well practiced in concrit, esp in the art world, that anon plainly being dickish. while trying to be pal-sy about it. keep doing what you do, hon. you're on the right track and your art is amazing!!
thanks so much savanna ;;-;; and you’re 100% correct. its true constructive criticism can be a bit tricky to manage bcuz it also depends on the way its delivered, but its much more well intended and handled nicely if the artist themselves asks for and is prepared to receive it.
*pats you* i think the anon learned their lesson, so let’s move onto happier topics :D
The scan.. does not do this picture justice I swear. I tried tweakin settings and everything and this is the best I could get. I’m still crying its so pretty look at her eyes.

do you guys have any advice for doing raffles at conventions? they seem like a fun way for people with less money to spend to win something big but seem really hard to do.
Kiriska: First -- double check with the convention and the state that the convention is in to make sure that raffles are allowed. Many states have restrictions placed on who can hold raffles as it’s considered a form of gambling. Some conventions specifically forbid raffles for this reason.
There are two AANI threads on the topic.
Other than that, just make sure you’re keeping good records. Take down the names of entrants, how many raffle entries they’re buying, and some form of contact information.
Make it clear when the raffle will be drawn. Will it be at the convention? If so, do people need to be present to win? If people can’t make the drawing, will you deliver the prize later? Ship it out? If it’s after the convention, where will be winner be announced? Do they need to contact you or will you contact them? Just be clear about everything and follow your own rules and you should be fine. :3
