I've not posted my tumblr crushes in a while, so, in order of how much I've reblogged/liked/interacted with them this week, here are some great blogs!:
Okay, I'm going to play with the rules a little bit and answer three sets of questions from three wonderful girls in one go!
Rule 1 - Post the rules
Rule 2 - Answer the questions the tagger sent you in their post and make 11 new ones.
Rule 3 - Tag 11 people and link them to your post.
Rule 4 - Let them know you’ve tagged them.
First, tagged by lesrosiers.
If you could choose the era you lived in, which one would it be?
I'm actually quite content with our current era, even though I whine about it sometimes. Still, I think living in 1900-1914 would have been wonderfully. It would have been interesting to see what it would have been like to belong to my family in those times, before the world changed.
Which person has affected you the most?
Definitely my grandmother. She's defined the person I've become, and I love her more than anything for it.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Presently, I'd have to say New York. I miss the city and would LOVE to spend a week there with my mom and grandmother, doing girly things and going to all of our favorite places. That or I'd discover somewhere new like St Petersburg.
What are you excited for?
I'm excited to see where life leads me. I spend so much time fantasizing about the future, that I can't wait to see what it actually brings.
Favourite books from childhood?
I have so many... I tried to narrow it down once, and came up with this list. Of those however, I think Little Women, the Little House on the Prairie series, The Railway Children, Eight Cousins, Anne of Green Gables, and Harry Potter rank the highest. Oh, and Madeline and Babar are also worth mentioning!
If it wasn’t about the money, what would you buy?
I'd buy a huge house on an estate with a huge library that would be where I do all of my future writing and where my family can go for generations to come.
Things you like to do?
Read, write, watch old films and lots of television, spend lots of time with my family, spend time being silly and having deep conversations with my friends, etc.
What do you do in order to relax?
Lately, I put on my comfiest clothes and watch television series.
Your dream job?
In an ideal world, I would both be a novelist and a creator of television series.
The last film you watched?
I believe the last film I watched, embarrassingly enough, was Monster In Law. It was bad, but I watched it for Michael Vartan.
Describe the perfect man/woman?
With an emphasis on "perfect" here, the perfect man is intelligent, loves to read and loves the fact that I love to read, has a sense of humor and can make me laugh when I really need it. He's traditional, respectful, and knows his etiquette. He's tall. He comes from the same kind of world as I do. He's American but very international and shares my need to travel frequently. He speaks several languages, including one that I don't. He understands the importance of family and likes that I'm so attached to mine. He shares most of my political views, not because I'm political but precisely because I'm not and debating politics drives me insane. He's ambitious and knows exactly what he wants from the future but is in no way delusional about it. He shares some of my interests, but has many of his own, enough to keep him interesting. In other words, he's why I'm destined to be single forever.

Who’s your favorite writer?
F. Scott Fitzgerald!
Do you dream often or have any recurrent dream?
I dream and remember my dreams, almost every night. I don't really have recurrent dreams very often, but I often see my hometown and my school in my dreams.
What is your greatest passion?
Literature, without contest.
Peinture or Sculpture? Why?
Painting, simply because sculpture never really spoke to me. I can spend long periods of time staring at a single painting, but I'm rarely intrigued by sculptures.
York or Lancaster? Why?
Neither? I can't really say.
Is Contemporary Art really Art to you?
While I believe it's art, it's something I can rarely appreciate.
Why did you create a blog on Tumblr?
I created my blog so that I could both have somewhere to express myself and to have a way to organize my inspiration, so to speak.
How do you picture yourself in ten years from now?
Ten years from now... I hope I will have finally found a place to settle down that's both near my family and friends and that makes travel easy, my career will be off to a promising start, and that I'll be married but won't yet have any kids...
What’s your favorite film of all time?
Now this is difficult to answer! Roman Holiday, High Society, To Kill A Mockingbird, My Fair Lady, Charade, Rebecca, Gone With the Wind ... I can't choose just one!
Who’s your favorite composer of classical music?
Tchaikovsky!
What’s your favorite city you’ve visited?
Either Paris or Prague. Both are magical in different ways and hold dear places in my heart.

Renoir and Magritte.
One fictional character you strongly dislike. (why?)
This is going to sound awful, but Tess Durbeyfield. She drives me insane, and just urghhhh.
Five things we need to know about you.
I don't know that these are "need to know," but: I'm obsessive passionate about the things I love. I love my family and close group of friends more than anything. I have the need to travel frequently. I'm stubborn as can be. I love to learn.
Your favourite scents.
Hyacinths, my grandmother's perfume, espresso, and freshly baking bread.
What (or who) inspires you the most.
My mother, and not because she's my mother. She's had such a versatile and impressive career that's had an impact on millions of people, and I'm forever in awe of her.
Your perfect wake-up song.
I'm boring and don't have one of these anymore, but I used to listen to either KT Tunstall's "Suddenly I See" or Snow Patrol's "Crack the Shutters" every morning back in high school.
What is your tumblr blog to you.
My tumblr is a place where I can express myself about things that enthuse me, collect things that inspire me, and interact with wonderful people with similar interests.
Your drink of choice.
Since I don't really like alcoholic drinks, my drink of choice, would probably have to be my much-missed American Starbucks drink - a cinnamon dolce latte!
Places you’d like to visit.
Russia, Italy, Scotland, Ireland, and Turkey!
Your three most used words of phrases.
Hmm. "Lovely." "Mais qu'est-ce que c'est que ça?!" and a sarcastic "Really?"
Words you live by.
Any words that come out of Violet Crawley's mouth.
