Hello Anon-tan! Sorry for my extremely delayed personal reply to this post. u_u
First of all, thank you! ヽ(;▽;)ノ I’m glad that my graphic somehow managed to get some praise; it means so much! To be honest, I can’t seem to find the actual psd file of my graphics; I think they might be in my USB but I can’t be bothered to get it right now so the screenshots might be a bit off from the actual thing. They’re the same steps I’ve done though! Also, I haven’t done a tutorial in aaages so I’m likely to make things all funny and confusing but anyways I’ll do what I can.
Open a texture file in Photoshop.
Copy onto your graphic that you’ve done and fit it into it so that the whole graphic has the texture fill it.
Set the texture to lighten/screen and move the texture around to the parts you want in the graphic itself.
Use the eraser tool with a soft brush and set the opacity to about 40% and erase the parts that either take too much attention off the graphic, you don’t like or makes it messy.
If you want, add some brushes (such as text ones, or doodly ones) onto it, once again erasing the parts that do not fit into the graphic. In other words, adjust it to your liking - lower the opacity if needed as well etc.
Lastly I just added some adjustment layers on top so that everything is included; some people like to have the texture to be placed on top of the adjustment layers in order for it to be vague, but in this case I’m used to placing it below.
Ta-da! Blending all done!
I hope I was of help, and if I wasn’t, feel free to ask me again! Thank you for asking me for a tutorial Anon-tan, I had fun hehe.
