The Cocoa Project Café The Cocoa Project’s sustainable design recovers the structure and memory of the existing 50’s modernist Villa and reimagines it as a sustainable cocoa and pasty coffee shop. This building has become a space for the community to connect with their heritage and learn about the quality of cocoa produced in the Mekong Delta. As layers of decades-old industrial finishing materials from previous renovations were removed, old handrails, vertical concrete louvres, and lime paint were discovered and preserved to celebrate the structures past, and history of Saigon.
