#WHAT I DID THIS YEAR
As we approach the end of this year I thought I will sit down and write things I did this year that I'm happy about, in no particular order 1- Having a gastric sleeve surgery and losing 45 kgs till now 2- Passing the Musculoskeletal System Committee Exam (which is one of the hardest committee exams) 3- Actually going to the FRP (fantasy roleplay) club I'm a member of and making awesome friends as well as getting to spend time with an old friend from highschool. And thus having a group of friends who will encourage me to go out and have fun instead of hiding away at my dorm room all the time.
4- Making a new friend from my actual class at summer and thus getting out of my comfort zone through her. Now I have good relations with my classmates unlike last year, and since I have friends I'm rarely out of the loop with what's going on in class
5- Learning to sit down and study, doesn't matter what, but just sitting down to study before it is actually a week before an exam
6- Having better relations with my mother
7- Working at a job and earning my own money no matter how little it is
8- Learning that ideally it is good to always speak up about something you don't agree with but in practice you might not want to do that if you want to allow people in a group to get to know you without being intimidated
9- Realizing that my parents are people with their own personal problems and flaws and I shouldn't burden them with all of my problems, but at the same time I should start speaking up when they start loading their problems onto me whenever I get home from a tiring week.
10- Getting a steam account and learning that sometimes a 10 bucks game might be more entertaining than a 100 bucks one
11- Listening to the same friend who got me out of my comfort zone and ignoring my bias about a particular teacher (I always thought she didn't like me). According to my post-graduation plans, the only research topic which will benefit me belongs to the said teacher and if it was left to my anxious and insecure self I would have not joined that research group. But she convinced me that I was being prejudiced and even if she was as bad as I said I shouldn't let that stand in the way of my academic life.
12- Disciplining myself into NOT OFFERING TO HELP EVERYONE DESPITE HOW IT MIGHT INCONVENIENCE ME SO PEOPLE WILL LIKE ME. Realizing this only makes me look overbearing. Realizing most of the time people are just talking about their problems to vent out and not to actually find a solution. And I guess this is enough for this year. There may be some that I've forgotten about. Although who knows....there are still two weeks to go. EDIT: I decided I want people to sit down and think about what they did this year that they are happy about. It is good to have positive things to think about people so let's do this!! For now I'm gonna tag some random people: coffinholmes pocketmartin anononthewater cumber-porn AND ANYONE ELSE WHO WANTS TO DO THIS USE #WHATIDIDTHISYEAR

May I have a magical item, please? :)
Blackheart Brush: A brush made of bone and barbed wire and the hair of some feline species long dead. A useful tool, this, with endless uses, of which this is only one:
To begin, you must make a potion with ingredients not hard to get, but that require planning — honey from bees who only pollinate poisonous flowers, ink made of roots dug at midnight and blood bled in autumn, cloth waxed and oiled by way of candles and lamps that lit the way for criminals.
Taken together they make dark parchment indeed, suitable for keeping awful secrets and planning assassinations. Taken with the Blackheart’s Brush, they can be the weapon of assassination.
Pour the ink into the cloth. Bring a ball the size of a fist, or an apple, or a heart. Tie the pouch closed with nothing but your fingers. Find a way in to the room in which they sleep.
Take the brush and dip it into your ink, and paint on the walls in ever increasing spirals. Don’t mind the way it stains and oozes; when you’ve painted the final wall it will fade away, drawn in away from the light to hide in the plaster. You will feel the brush heat up as you paint. Do not drop it, not until you are done. Do not worry if the wire pierces you and adds your blood to the potion. Throw the last of the ink in a river, one that moves swiftly, when you are done.
When night comes and the room is dark, the death and poison and rot will come back out of the walls. It will suffuse their mind and give them nightmares; it will burn their lungs and slow their heart. They will die of fear or poison or suffocation — the question is not ‘which one’ but ‘which one first’.
There are many things you can do with the Blackheart Brush, and this is the kindest. Perhaps it is good that no more can ever be made.
