Angela's expression hardly wavers as Argalia laughs a pitifully pointed laugh at her. It was difficult, to say the least, to explain her own thought process when it came to this line of actions.
"It is nothing so noble." She begins, fingers tapping against the book tucked under her other arm. "I have no grand ideals of winning you over to feel better about myself, for starters."
Rather, she remembers those words she had said time and time again.
"When Lobotomy Corporation came crumbling down and I was expected to simply die along with it, I thought 'I hate this place, I hate this world, I want to live without all of this pain.'" And so she had set in motion the events that had thrown so much into chaos, at the expense of not knowing what might have happened had the light spread in its entirety.
It was difficult to articulate, and the expression on the machine's face dictated her internal struggle. Carmen had manipulated every vulnerable person she could, even twisting Angela's Library from within the Light. How to explain it?
Finally, she sighs.
"I simply feel we share more in common than you realize. Not to mention, if you're dead then I can't use you to help take down the Head."
And there she goes, sweeping the more emotional explanation under the rug, instead focusing on her practical goals. She's so good at this relating to people thing.
