Teasing an idea your way about... Art who constantly dances between wanting to kill the reader and letting them live. Like, it's his nature to bring ruin and destruction to peoples' lives, why is the reader any different? Maybe he doesnt even know. I feel like being his favorite would lead to a lot of whiplash in that regard, and while I see a lot of people tease it as almost foreplay (which is hot dont get me wrong) Im curious about a more serious threat, more proximity to the real danger of Art the Clown. I hunger for more of the Fear aspect vs the sexy sadomasochism aspect alas

No because you’re so real for that. I love the idea of the reader constantly being yanked like a yoyo back and forth between life and death while being Art’s little plaything and the only reason they’re even remotely alive is because they’ve been blessed by him or some other demonic force or by constant sheer luck. And Art is just… he’s an animal to me, I’ll be honest. I’ve compared him to one many a time, he’s unpredictable and driven by instincts. But I also love to indulge in that ‘Reader is different from everyone else’ trope so so much. I bounce back and forth between the two so often because I like the realism of never being safe but I also love the indulgence of being a cut (heh) above the rest.

I too love the sadomasochism aspects of Art. ALWAYS will. But fear is a favorite. Fear is what gets your blood pumping and makes you feel alive.

I’ll see if I can’t squeeze some of that fear in my current fic. I unfortunately am not comfortable going too deep to kill the reader because it feels weird to do so for me personally and also I’m just a big baby who doesn’t like the idea of fictionally hurting the audience. (I won’t ever judge anyone who kills a reader in their own fic, write what you want because there’s sure as hell people into it, more power to them)

Also, once again, I will publicly praise you for your job well done on the period sex fic you did with Art on ao3. If you ever go back into the Terrifier writing space pleaaaaase hit me up in DM’s.
