Coil Press.
What was just one zine is now quite the exciting bit of news. It took forever to get comfortable and good and moved into my new place and really be able to give my attention to starting this zine. . .and now its a whole press that I am starting with my good friend Tess ( who also happens to be an amazing artist http://cargocollective.com/tessmakesart ). We are putting out two offerings, to start, in the next month or so. “Dear,” is a zine dedicated to handwritten letters. Each issue will be devoted to a different theme or “recipient”. The first issue is “Dear Hometown,”. It is a collection of 8 letters from 7 people from around the world (we got one from Australia!) with cover art by Tess, herself.
“Yes, Chef!” will be our next offering which will be a collection of doodles done on restaurant check booklets. Tess and I will be the primary contributors but we will also be collecting from our co-workers at the bakery at which we work.
