Yeah, the weather’s been a little up and down lately. And yes, that is a fireplace with a wood stove.

Yes, I think with the revival coming out and advertising for it that you will have a better chance of… Market penetration? I think some of your students were still in diapers when the X-Files went off the air. How does that make you feel? LOL

I mean, yeah, I’m old. You don’t need to remind me. Spending all day with teenagers keeps me very aware of that fact.

Of all his insane ideas, this one was clever. Slip in more pop culture! If they ask for help during a test, tell them that the truth is out there!

Oh, I make a lot of pop culture references. Most of them mean nothing to my students, unfortunately, but it’s always fun when we can bond over shared pop culture interests. If anyone ever picked up on one of my XF references they would instantly become my favorite but sadly it never happens. They’ve pretty much all never even heard of XF! It breaks my delicate little x-phile heart. 

Maybe this revival will change that and get my students interested and watching it all on Netflix. I can only hope.

Two simultaneous thoughts: 1) Your friends are a lot more interesting than mine, and 2) I’ve terrified myself by falling asleep with Tumblr up on my iPad. Who knows what will pop up in my feed without my consent for Subby to find when he wakes me up?

1) I’m amused that you think watching porn makes someone interesting. 

2) Yes, tumblr’s a freaking minefield of nsfw content. That makes me nervous if I’m ever scrolling through while there are other people around. My feed is generally pretty safe (though not perfectly so) but if I’m ever looking through a particular tag I never know what to expect.

Subby had a cat who sat in flypaper and then bolted through the house. She thought the devil had her ass. He finally caught her and had to pull it off. He said she looked like she'd had a Brazilian. He felt awful but couldn't stop laughing.

See, this is hilarious and mostly gives me terrible ideas about how to torture my cat for my own amusement. But I will restrain myself.

LOL, one time I rewarded myself with mint green sneakers. Silly, I know, but it worked!

Ha! Whatever works, right? Although mint green sneakers don’t sound half bad... This chapter’s being stubborn, and I’m being long winded and too much of a perfectionist. It’s almost done, but at the same time...not. I’m going to have to cut it sooner due to length, which isn’t too much of a problem, I suppose, but still annoying. Erg!
