The wyvern’s head lifted, albeit wearily, at her call. He tried to pick himself up to no avail; and whether it was to move closer or to flee, we may never know. His nostrils flared with the effort to draw breath, his eyes squeezing one more time before slowly opening once more to regard her in full.

“Please,” He managed weakly, answering her in turn. “Please, I mean you no harm. I beseech you for your aid. My wings… I cannot fly.”
