hi i just found your blog so sorry if you have already talked about this! but i love my cat so much and i also love to travel and i have a dream of driving a truck some day, too. did you live with mahado somewhere else before you started driving and he started staying in the truck? was it a hard transition? people say cats are territorial and don't like to travel, what do you think? ps he is precious, i love him.

Howdy! No worries, I rarely get messages on here so I'm thrilled!

I originally got Mahado when I was living in an apartment so there was a transition but he adjusted pretty quickly. The truck is large enough for him to wander as he pleases, there's a cabinet space ground level that his litter box fits perfectly in, and I think the fact there is a cubby hole up in the top (I have a duel-sleeper bunkbed) that he could hide in the first few days really helped him to relax. He learned where he was allowed to be by repetitive correcting (such as pushing away/block off from the peddles and driver side of the dash) and providing him with his own area also helped him to fully relax (his own bed, scratching pad, blanket).

I didn't bother him, let him come out when he was ready (usually to cuddle for bed), and within around three-four days he was flopped on the dashboard. Took him about a week or so to get used to all the noises the trucks make and not panic when someone blared their horn near us.

Some factors that I think should be included is that Mahado is a Ragdoll and is naturally laid back. For whatever reason, he has made his own choice to not want to leave the truck so I will sometimes leave the door wide open or the window down so he can lean out and watch me and never have to worry of him running (which can't be said for all cats). We have also worked out a system together where he can carefully crawl across my lap to sit on my left hip and armrest, out of the way of my arm and steering wheel, where he can me near me, watch out the window, and occasionally get pets when I don't need both hands on the wheel.

A lot does depend on your cat but I am hopeful yours will enjoy the life as mine does! I mean, let's face it, the cat is going to get all the one-on-one loving it could ever dream of, can sunbathe almost anywhere, and of course food aplenty! How much more spoiled can a cat get? X3

Oh I adore typewriters!!! I have five  of them, all manual. Ephemera I always do on one, and also my poetry zines. I do the others on the computer cos it is a lot more work to do it on a typewriter, but doing those ones on a typewriter is superfun! I also use them to write all my fiction--I can write much better on one, because it makes me feel like much more of a Real Writer.

I was actually just thinking as I was getting these zines ready about the idea of making  copies I could run through the top feeder. One of the other zines i was copying is just photos so I printed it double-sided so I could do that and god it was SO EASY and SO FAST. I have a scanner, so I could just scan the hard copies with all the stuff on them in and print them out that way. The only possible issue is I’ve been attaching the stuff to the pages with tape because I’ve found that paste doesn’t really do a good job holding them on, so I’d be a little worried about the tape showing up on the scans, but it didn’t seem to be when I had to scan a couple of the covers the other night. And a friend tells me that I could possibly fuck around with the settings and find a way to make it not show up even if it did. So yeh I think I am gonna try this. And I’m also definitey going to make sure I have a typewriter ribbon that’s actually in good shape before I start typing!

hi! i saw your post about "knit one girl two" and it sounds so good!! do you plan on releasing it in any form besides kindle? like maybe even in printed form?

Thanks! I would like to publish this one together with Fearless in paperback form some day but I need to write at least a third cute contemporary f/f to go with them because they’re just slightly too short for a paperback just those two.Some day I’d like to get my books on Smashwords but the formatting is beyond my energy levels right now.

(My novels are out as paperbacks, by the way.)
