ivy was a creature of habit and pride, and any attempt to disrupt this was met with a harsh reaction. ever since she had been attacked last full moon, she’d been coddled, and this angered her. all these years, she’d built a rapport of iron build, and it had been knocked down as if she were feather weight. walking a couple of steps beyond ryan, her steps were heavy as she stomped through the leafy forest floor. he knew what she was, but they stayed on mutual grounds, always seeming to run into each other beyond the green. if they weren’t so alike, perhaps ivy could tolerate his offhanded sarcasm that interjected as the closest they’d be to friends, but today was different. accusations flew around fast in new orleans, and supposedly another missing person had come up. considering their last encounter was her standing above a body, it was a fair assumption, but ignorance is bliss. ❝ i don’t know WHAT you’re speaking of. get your facts straight before you throw accusations around here, child. ❞ perhaps out of frustration she hadn’t looked at him once in this conversation, or just to halt her, a firm grip wrapped around her forearm, and just as quickly as he made contact, she whipped around, her own hand, twisting the hand back to his chest with impact, ❝ don’t you EVER touch me like that again, or i’ll snap those little hunting arms of yours. ❞
