Left or Right?

The political divide between left and right is just another dualism.

When I was younger, I most definitely participated in this divide. Being raised conservative Christian, with the thought that our ideals and freedoms were constantly at risk from the left, I would argue on and on about politics. When I received a proper education of history and the state of the current world, and I realized the actuality of the systems we are living in, and that my energies were required for far more then ideological talk, I gave up my political agitation. Since then I have heard both liberals and conservatives rant about the other side: their blindness, bigotry, idiocy and horrible brain washing.

It's so odd to see people so split on politics, outside of their finite ideals for the way government should be run, their self assured nature, fear and hateful disposition to the other political party are nearly identical to each other. Every election there are doomsday predictions that the other candidate will ruin this nation, and as the nation goes down hill, they rally against that party yet again the next election. Assured that somehow their political party will turn back the forces of time, entropy and evolution. Can't you see, it's neither the party nor the candidate, both have the wrong vision, because both are working in a failing system. In the last days of the British, Spanish or Roman empires, do you really think it would have mattered in the long run who was in charge?

No, because the world system they had created was falling apart and had to change. These political contests only serve one purpose, to keep the nation divided, distrustful and hateful of the other side. Otherwise people might wake up and realize that the corrupted government and world political and economic systems are established to protect the rich and powerful and will do so regardless of who is in charge. If you want change, get your head out of this illusion of duality, know yourself and start affecting your local community for the better. So to the question of left or right this election, how about inward, outward and up!
