The Alpine ibex, known in Italian as 'Capra ibex', are a species of wild goat that lives in the mountains of the European Alps. As I was exploring the Bettaforca Pass straddling the Gressoney and Ayas valleys, I spotted some of these wonderful animals who, like me, were taking in some superb, though very changeable, scenery at 2,727 metres above sea level. Such an amazing moment. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: First take a train from Aosta or Turin to Pont-Saint-Martin. Then catch a bus to Staffal with 'V.I.T.A'.
