I just love how Tumblr serves its users, not the other way around.

The whole burst of creativity and involvement that Goncharev has generated is incredible. It's the power of collective minds imagining for the joy of it, not for money, not for likes, not for followers.

If it wasn't for Tumblr I wouldn't have known how Lynda Carter got her big break playing Sophia. The role was originally written with Sophia Loren in mind, but at the last minute it was decided a younger, fresh face was needed. There's still conjecture over who made this decision but I think we can all agree, it was the right one.

The Goncharov (1973) phenomenon is one of the truest expressions of the value of the internet, what I call ‘Collective Creativity.’  No other medium allows for such an unprecedented collaboration across borders, age groups, and careers. There is often a (negative) comparison to the old phrase ‘if you put ten thousand monkeys in a room with typewriters, eventually they would be able to recreate the entire works of Shakespeare.’  What the Goncharov phenomenon has shown us however, is that this is no insult!  For we are the ten thousand typing monkeys, and together we have created Greatness!

Organization post

I'm a longtime Danny Phantom fan who recently got into Batfam stuff, just in time for the DCxDP crossover to take off again. Which was hilariously good timing for me.

My blog mostly contain content from those fandoms, plus some random funny or artsy posts.

Every post where I do more than simply reblog should be tagged #Lux writes, so that's the tag to filter with if you want to see my original content.

I've also done some #collection posts tagged as #Collective Creativity where I copy and paste good content spread out over reblogs and branches of a post that people have added to over time.

Ground Rules for Collective Creativity

In the complex business of community collaboration, any person or group has the power to derail the process. Adopting a code of conduct where everyone’s roles and responsibilities are understood and agreed on from the beginning keeps projects on track. It also defends against naysayers and creates healthy conditions for collective creativity.

CIVILITY

Share airtime: everyone participates; no one is allowed to dominate.

Assume that together we know more: work to understand the assumptions, opinions and ideas of others.

Reject the culture of blame: be tough on ideas, but gentle on people.

Put yourself in someone else’s shoes: represent those not present.

INQUIRY

Open your ears and your mind: listening is NOT just waiting for your turn to speak.

Do your homework: understand the problem and its history.

Look for common solution, then commit to them.

Seek the community’s highest good for both present and future.

CREATIVITY

Forge Multiple Victories: the best ideas solve more than one problem at a time.

Explore unconventional approaches: new conditions demand new solutions.

Turn opposition into proposition: instead of fighting a weak idea, come up with a better one.

Transform differences into gifts: arguing over the differences among us wastes time, money, resources, goodwill, and talent. Exchange ideas with others for greater insights and more inclusive and creative solutions.

Change your mind in light of new information: do your part to create an atmosphere where meetings are about discovery and collaboration, not platforms for convincing others that your idea is superior

Maintain balance between heart and mind, knowledge and intuition, expertise and passion.

Morally, CS is a revolution, in vocation and everyday's life... a supernal potential metamorphosis that permit us, and organizations, on take another role ultramodern ashram and its development, changing our position and piece in society approaching us until the world. At this event, key members of the 1980s 'Black Arts Movement' such as Keith Piper, Claudette Johnson and Said Adrus are hosted by London-based group Collective Creativity, who will offer critical reflections on this history and the contemporary circumstances under which students and other people of colour experience contemporary art school curriculum from the perspectives of QTIPOC (Queer, Trans* and Intersex People of Colour) creative practice. Collective Creativity produce spaces that are explicitly inclusive of, and created for and by, people of different sexualities and genders, and people of colour. We just got back from Nottingham Contemporary where Collective Creativity (Rudy Loewe, Raisa Kabir, Evan Ifekoya and Raju Rage) facilitated a workshop with local art students around 'The Politics of the Art School' and a panel with Claudette Johnson, Keith Piper and Said Adrus, discussing issues of the global vs the local, how we want to be framed as artists and sustaining our practice in art education and beyond....Please check out the video for the panel.....
