Y’all , constantly being turned down , denied , rejected , really takes a toll on a persons soul. Genuinely speaking it’s a feeling that I had been dreading and avoiding since I first experienced it on my first round of actually applying to jobs regarding my field . I had giving up sort of and kind of just settled for an hourly job until I miraculously landed a caseworker job at this nonprofit company. My first salary job and I got it applying to admin and receptionist jobs that have nothing to do with my field . If it wasn’t for my coworkers encouraging me to apply for a job in my field again idk if I would have tried .
I’m starting to realize that that feeling is not something I should dread but embrace because in reality you won’t learn to ice skate if you fear falling in the ice.
I think that I’ll just take every application round as a grain of salt and improve each time . This time improved my resume I gotta see what’s the next move I gotta make to market myself and at least have people take a chance with me.
Side note for my self , that pr firm interview I went to she literally tried to turn me down so fast her partner really couldn’t even keep up just cause of my passion for travel . The lady really tried to say it’s not relevant to food. Had us both like ??? Yes it does miss next. I’m sure they’ve rejected me already so on to the next and I can just keep on applying
