Sorry for taking so long with these. I've really appreciated hearing all your feedback, as always! This was just a super busy week for me. So let’s get to it:

Checking Feb 19 on my calendar. Chapter 11 may do me in.
It’s a week from Monday. Not too long a wait — just a little longer than normal. Hopefully you won’t be too done in by it, or if you are... hopefully you’re done in in only the best way?

JFC CHEL you raised your word count almost by 10k lol
I KNOW. I know. Don’t look at me. It just keeps happening. Chapter 7 was almost 10k too. Apparently once I start I cannot stop myself!
More spoilery comments for the chapter under the cut:

Ok, this chapter is officially a cause of my death... How on earth is your writing so beautiful that it literally takes my breath away.... I mean, this is probably the most heartwarming and at the time heartbreaking thing I've ever read. Thank you so freaking much.

Welp, I still haven't fully recovered...
Thank you so much, as always, for your beautiful compliments, and fear not, because the next chapters should be less torturous, one way or another. ♥

Omg. How the hell am I supposed to function normally now, after reading that?!
Don't think about it! Don't think about Kylo pleading with Rey as she succumbs to poison in his arms. Should... should be easy, right? ... Oh god.

I'm the one (or one of the ones?) who keyboard smashed in the comments on AO3. Just want to reiterate that Chapter 10 was AMAZEBALLS. Like, I had a bit of a tension headache at trying not to cry when Proposal Part 2 went down, and when Rey is thinking about what Kylo actually feels for her at the end I was fighting not to cry at work. So uh... Here's my actual thoughtful comment instead of the wharglbarghl I did the first go round.
Keysmashes are perfectly legit and very very welcome comments, but I appreciate you taking time to write down more of your thoughts too. Thank you! ♥
What would you suggest to a writer whose hand shakes when she posts a new chapter, because of the absolutely batshit and unacceptable comments her story is attracting? The fic has both great plot and stylistic writting, and deserves nothing but praise, yet she's getting some pretty insane comments thrown at her. Responding to her comments must feel like being a barmaid in a rowdy pub at closing time. Asking for a friend. No, seriously, I am.
Comment moderation. I can’t recommend it enough in a situation like this. Also, if the comments are mostly coming from anon, your friend can disable anon comments as well (or instead).
Comment moderation would still require her to read the comments in order to approve them (or not), but maybe the two of you could work out a situation where you could do the moderation for her?
Also, remind your friend that the comments section belongs to her, and she does not need to engage with commenters if she doesn’t want to. If a comment is unacceptable, she can delete it. If she chooses to leave it up, she doesn’t have to respond.
And of course, if it gets to the level of harrassment, she can also file an Abuse Report.
I hope any of this is helpful for her, and I hope things get better too.
@colliderofhadron asked: Hello! Please can you answer nos 44 and 50: has TS made you cry as you've been writing it?
44. Do you write linear or do you write future scenes if you feel like it?
I absolutely write future scenes! I wrote more linearly toward the end of TS (since I had used up all my buffer), but I’ll still jot down notes and things on future chapters. Most recently, I had Kylo asking Rey if Leia was ill sitting in that chapter’s document a couple of weeks in advance. Most egregiously, I wrote the Hux-Rey exchange at the pre-gala soiree like a full month before the rest of that chapter.
50. Has TS made you cry as you've been writing it?
Not cry, yet... but after writing their break-up I wanted to do nothing but lay in my bed and eat ice cream for like a whole week. I was crushed. :/
