          i know, i know. this is super late. but here’s my intro on rose. they’re a sweet, small child and i’ll probably break them, but whatever. please don’t be mean to them. rose’s family stuff is a bit blank until hugo is taken. any of the wotter clan come at me for plots with rose !! triggers: depression

rose is one of those people that really likes their family. in fact, that’s why rose does everything that they do. rose always grew up with a book in their hand. stories were a great import in rose’s world because rose wanted to know all of them. 

from a young age, rose learned to read and academically excelled even at a young age. their tutor used to say that they were gifted. however, rose was shy and preferred not to talk to people, instead hiding behind a book, though their family was always really important to them.

they weren’t very old when the topic of gender came up in a book and rose quickly felt drawn to that sort of discussion. rose felt more comfortable not being thought of as a girl, so they preferred to use gender neutral pronouns. at first rose was very scared to tell their family, but the news wasn’t that badly taken by their parents.

it was always evident that rose was magical, and would go off to hogwarts like their parents. rose was excited -- reading every book on magical theory and hogwrts that they could get their hands on in order to be prepared. it was their way of being ready for school. 

when rose’s letter came, they were really excited to go off to school. their parents had left a big mark on the school and they became worried that they wouldn’t be as great as their parents. rose began to fall into a depressive state, though not many of their peers knew because rose spent more time with a book in their hand than with other people -- not that rose couldn’t be social, they just didn’t like it. 

rose loves their family more than anything and would do anything for them, including being in situations that are uncomfortable. ( rose doesn’t like to be outside their comfort zone or routine at all ) 

personality wise, rose is nothing like their parents. they are socially inept and prefer to just be around one or two people. any more and they feel uncomfortable. rose walks with their head down and doesn’t really make eye contact with others. they are terrible at standing up for themself. they are a huge target for bullies, which is obvious to those that spend any time around them. rose would stand up for themself only in a dire situation. one of those situations being gender equality.

okay, so here is the intro for jaret. ( because i’m putting off finishing rose’s intro #YIKES ) anyway, jaret is interesting character and i’m excited to be playing him here! message me for plots. 

jaret is the son of theophilus mulciber. growing up into the mulciber family, had meant that jaret’s father had a certain look to uphold. he had an arranged marriage to a pureblood samoan woman. however, unlike most arranged marriages, after the initial meeting, they quickly realised that they did love each other. 

jaret was the first born into the family and raised on pureblood ideals. jaret’s father had moved the family to russia in order to get away from the bad connotations the family’s name had before his first son was born. he started a wizarding business that quickly became popular. 

all his life, jaret has been groomed to take over the company from a young age. and at first, jaret really liked the attention he got from his family because he really looked up to his father. however, after jaret turned ten he stopped caring about the business and realised there were other things he liked. 

at the age of eleven, he went off to school and realised that he really didn’t care about anything he’d been grown up on, including blood purity ideals. he found himself interested in few subjects, but rather being social and playing quidditch. he also became interested in muggle culture as well. 

some part of him does care about blood purity, because that’s been drilled into his head, but he also believes that his parents might have the wrong ideas when it comes to these sorts of things. and the world is changing anyway, so shouldn’t opinions change as well. 

though he knows he’s going to have to take over the business, he keeps putting it off and doing stupid things to make his father maybe possibly not want to hand over the business to him, especially it he makes himself seem incompetent. 

going to the competition was his idea, and his father agreed only if jaret agreed to help him with the company when he was finished with school - which he agreed to only because he knows this might be his only chance to explore on his own. 

personality wise, jaret is a bit all over the place. he can be social when he wants to be, but he’s happiest when he’s alone. jaret doesn’t really have a favorite subject in school because he sees the merits in the m all. he’s that friend that gives good advice, but won’t take his own advice because he doesn’t think situations are the same.

time to round up the last of my intros ( for now, as i will inevitably be bringing more smh ). this is kirsten once more, introducing you to my steely, fearless son who talks in essays, brent nott. his about is here, and you can find more info below the cut if you’re interested!

BRENT NOTT is SEVENTEEN years old and a student at HOGWARTS. HE is a CIS-MALE PUREBLOOD. They are known for being OVERCRITICAL and UNSYMPATHETIC, but also praised for being COMPOSED and DRIVEN. They resemble SEO IN GUK.

his family is very, very traditional and regressive.. his parents were arranged ( much like he is now ), and his mother has never had a voice to her manipulative and controlling husband. brent was pretty much an obligation to her to fulfill and she was relieved when he was a son because that meant she had done her duty. she never let herself get attached to him, because she knew that brent, much like herself, was richard nott’s possession for him to mold and do with as he pleased.

you can find out more about how that turned out for him in his about so i’ll leave that part brief, but basically as a result of his upbringing, brent was isolated from children his own age and was deprived of a youth. he was an observer of life rather than a participant, most of what he knew coming from books. his iron walls are ones that he has carefully cemented and erected high over the years to overcome his circumstances and he’s seldom convinced to let down the bridges to let anyone in. he never knew affection and he never new fun outside of his books, and admitting that he doesn’t know something is a blow to his pride, and he would rather swallow his own blood than swallow his pride. this admittedly makes him difficult to reach or grasp.

by the time he was old enough to go to school, he was already rigid and even more uppity than he is now.  he actually wanted to go to maladh because of its focus on magical theory and research, but his father forbade it considering that the campus was far too close to muggles. during his time at hogwarts, he was a prefect and was known for being a stickler for the rules.

he wants to ideally become the head of the department of magical education at the ministry of magic. considering he’s a private and reserved person, not many know about this ambition. not many know much at all about brent other than the surface level facts – he constantly has his head buried in a book or he’s writing, he’s at the top of his class, he’s meticulously put together in terms of how he carries himself and how he dresses, and despite being surrounded by teenagers, he acts like he’s beyond his physical years.

he’s certainly ambitious and well-read, but there’s more to him than that. he carefully plans and is cautious and perfectionistic because that’s his way out. despite the fact that he acts like an elitist pureblood, he doesn’t want to be a part of it truly. he wants his own life, his freedom, and he’ll do what it takes to get it, no matter what it takes or what anyone says about him. he doesn’t care what they think. what matters is what he’s able to make of himself. he has plans, revolutionary ones, and he wants to be able to achieve them. he wants to be completely in control of his own life. this is the epitome of his bravery.

he is critical of others, but it’s not actually meant to be in a malicious way? he doesn’t go out of his way to be mean or anything like that. he’s merely making commentary and honestly, it just grates him how people choose to behave. he’s incredibly hard to impress, but it’s not impossible to win him over. it just takes time and a great deal of investment in order to chip away at the steel armor. he’s very particular, but there are people who have earned his warm regard.  

people think that he’s cold – and he likes it that way. and in ways, he really is cold. he can be harsh and uncompromising. but despite what his peers and he himself may think, he’s human just like the rest of them.

you’ll most often find him in the library, going for walks/runs, or engaging with adults as he tries to make the most out of the access that the colligo tournament has granted him. he’s most likely to be seen hanging around the select few that he actually doesn’t mind spending time with, but i’m always up to plot connections or potential threads if you want to take a stab at interacting with mr. Difficult.

alrighty, time to throw some more intros your way.  it’s kirsten again and this is james s. potter. the s stands for many things including Sentimental, Stupid, and Soppy. you can find an about page for him here. the rest of the info under here is mostly just rambly bits tbh. i’m open to plots and connections too if anyone wants to hmu. please be aware of the trigger warnings!!

james was a troublemaker as a youth bc he has an endless amount of curiosity, but no real ambition. if he’s interested in something, then he will pursue it with focus but otherwise he just really...doesn’t. he’s less of a troublemaker now in that he pulls less pranks and experiments less and is more involved with reading or with wandering and he can stay out of trouble thanks to owning the marauder’s map. he was a gryffinclaw hatstall because of his curiosity + his want for independence, but ultimately it was his boldness and bravery and his want for adventure that convinced the hat to tip him over to gryffindor. 

of course, james doesn’t remember what it’s like to be an only child. he is very much an older brother figure and actual fam and friends trash. he’s protective of albus and lily to an extent and very much wants to look after them, but as they have grown he is better at acknowledging that they too need their space and he tries not to smother them. he is very proud of his siblings tbh bc they have very lofty goals and he supports them in all that they do. overall, he’s incredibly supportive to most everyone, being both the hand that guides people as well as the support beam that tries to keep them all upright. he is definitely a lover rather than a fighter, but he will fight for love or turn himself into a figher if that’s what people need him to be. he’s always turning himself into what people need him to be, so it’s probably a good thing that he’s ace at transfiguration. he makes sure to validate everyone else’s feelings, save for his own. he often carries the weight of the world on his shoulders even when he doesn’t have to.

besides transfiguration, charms is james’ best subject thanks to his curiosity and love for experimenting. he has even added some tweaks and new features to the map that weren’t there before as a result. unfortunately, he lacks focus so he still doesn’t do the best in school because he’s not good at time management nor is he all that good at written work. 

james has a very warm, inviting personality. he even physically runs warm and it’s not unheard of for him to walk around without a shirt in winter, which is ironically his favorite season. he’s very affectionate with those that he is close to and he tends to have a large circle of friends. he’s very much a people-person, but don’t let that fool you. he’s an introvert and being around people does drain him, so he can be a bit Broody during those times where he has to wander off in order to recharge. he’s always tired, but he never stops trying with people. he’s a lover of warm hugs. 

james was intimately involved woman named isla hawkings from the age of fourteen to fifteen who is an auror. he doesn’t talk about it. it led to him having a very dark year when he was sixteen where he was very self-destructive. he was left empty and slept around to try and fill the void, drank a lot even though it only made him more depressed, and confided only in practical strangers because he knew they wouldn’t care about him. he lashed out against his parents who sought to help him and the only ones who he could try to spare any energy for were his siblings, but his hurt was far too obvious to truly hide. one day, however, he realized that he no longer recognized himself, and he didn’t want to live like that anymore. so he did the only thing he knew how without talking through his problems: he began to compartmentalize. his heart was weak and still bleeding, but he put a cork in it and crawled on his hands and knees until he could try and stand up again. he pushed all of his shame, guilt, and the entire relationship to the back of his mind to collect dust, and still hasn’t dealt with it. but it was the only thing he knew how to do. he let himself self destruct and he didn’t want to take anyone with him as he burned to ashes. but he did rise out of those ashes and come back stronger, even though he is now a far more subdued version than the boy with the loud and big personality that he used to be.

james is incredibly indecisive. this can make him come across as wishy washy or contradictory at times. when he has convictions, then he is firm in them, but often he teeters on the edge of decisions/opinions in a middle ground. this is another reason why he has no idea ultimately what he wants to do with himself when he graduates. he can also be a bit self-righteous tbh. 

some extra tidbits: james wears plaid flannels like they are going out of style even though they were never in style. he’s rarely clean-shaven. an actual Grandpa Friend. pumpkin trash ew. even has his own special pumpkin soup recipe. is a grade-a Mess. his life, his choices, his everything are as messy as his hair

hey look at me, getting my intro out in a timely matter !!! anyway. here’s my nerdy boy, florence... but he goes by flo most of the time. he is weird. triggers: death 

florence was born in peru. he’s a middle child of six and a twin. the alvarez family was larger close, despite flo’s mother running all over the place in the world because she was head of the international relations part of the peruvian ministry of magic.

he was mostly raised by his father and older siblings since his mother was practially gone all the time. his older brother is the one that introduced him to comic books. the two bonded over the books. they laughed at the comic book movies and cried at the sad parts. 

comics weren’t the only thing that flo was interested in. he liked video games and table top roleplaying games. anything that other people considered nerdy, flo really liked to do. 

when he turned nine, his brother -- on the way to visit their father ( a scientist, studying the nazca lines ) -- got into a car accident and was rushed to the hospital where he died. 

because of how close he was with his brother, flo took the death really hard. he made a change in his life, putting away his comics and trying to grow up. however, he still liked comics, despite how much it made him miss his sibling. 

school was a chance for him to explore another side of him. and he really, really liked school. learning was difficult sometimes and he felt challenged, but he really did like learning about different subjects. when the competition was announced, his mother jumped at the chance for him to travel the world. 

personality wise, flo is a bit of a dork. he’s pretty friendly and easy going, but will close up when certain subjects come up -- especially involving the comic books that he and his brother used to love. flo is pretty chill and easy going. he does like to party and does so often. science is a fastinating subject and growing up in a world that was split between muggle and wizard customs, flo sees the good in both, which is why muggle studies is his favorite subject -- muggles, from a wizard’s perspective. he has an irrational fear of scorpions and that’s what his boggart turns into. he’s kind of between a closet nerd and a social nerd, but is just an all-around good guy and wants the best for his friends and family. do not talk about his brother... that is too much and he gets quite angry about it. he doesn’t know if he wants to be a writer or a scientist when he grows up. a few of his siblings are non-magical, but his twin and one older sibling and one younger sibling are magical. ( basically every other child is magical )

CELESTE DIGGORY is SIXTEEN years old and a student at BEAUXBATONS. SHE is a CIS-FEMALE & HALFBLOOD ( ONE QUARTER VEELA ). They are known for being SLY and DIRECT, but also praised for being DAUNTLESS and OUTGOING. They resemble CHOI SOO YOUNG.

the diggs are a pretty conservative family. her brother and sister are well mannered and then there’s...celeste lmfao the youngest of three and probably the most spoiled out of her siblings. she has quite the charm -- even though you don’t like what she’s doing you end up following her anyways.

if there’s an adventure, she’ll find it. honestly she has bright eyes and knack for finding all of those hidden treasures the world has to offer. there is no ‘i can’t do it’. it’s always I WILL DO IT. which a lot of the times gets her in a lot of trouble ( like say climbing up but not knowing how to get back down?? )

she has had a lot of broken bones and injuries in her past due to her diving into things without having a plan how to get back out -- but even that doesn’t stop her.

she’s extremely determined and tenacious. once she grabs onto something be it a project, bungee jumping, an argument, you name it -- she won’t let go until she has the last word in it.

she’s also honest, brutally so. no matter who you are if you don’t want to hear the truth -- the blunt truth at that -- you should just not ask. she’ll tell it as it is. if you don’t look good in something, she’ll tell you. if she thinks what you did was stupid, she’ll tell you. she doesn’t spare feelings when it comes to telling the truth or pointing out what went wrong. dat sass doe

even so she’s really friendly and open minded. she has a bright personality and a knack for extreme sports and makeup.

hello!! I’m rian, one of the admins, and I’m so excited!! oookay this is long and scatterbrained, but it’s hard to capture everything about this trash queen?? here’s a post that I’d read, and more under the cut. This will be longer than my other intros, but I’d love to get some plots going!!

Rose garden full of thorns.

Happy is a complicated word for Pippa, and the one that slips most easily in its spot is fun. Pippa Atherton is fun; a bright hurricane of a girl. She is bright smiles and the exciting pop! of champagne corks. She is a bruise left on a long neck by soft lips, demurely hidden by scarves in winter. She’s a taunting pink lip stick print and daring, mischievous eyes. Pippa is a glittering facade of many things, but true happiness is not one of them. She is happy enough, but she excels at being fun.

Okay so on her father’s side, Pippa is basically American Pureblood royalty. She’s a Graves and an Atherton on that side, and her mother is related to Annette and Aurora’s fathers, so she definitely could have crossed paths with some of the Weasley and Potters through Annette.

Anyone that signed their name as P. Graves was bound to leave an impact, but the usual choice was not a sparkling, midnight ink. The Graves are touted as a powerful family in both connections and skills, and Pippa is no different. Her exceptional dueling prowess was encouraged from a young age. It flourished into a love of fencing, in which Pippa is internationally ranked. She may or may not be known to enchant a suit of armor to spar with her when intoxicated.

The Athertons are basically american pureblood royalty, and she is distantly related to this dude and they are at the forefront of wizarding technology and magical engineering.

Pippa is very smart, but is quite lazy and is simply not interested in the family business, nor a position in MACUSA which she has been groomed for. She's not the biggest fan of effort, unless she channels it into something else.

She had a creepy situation with a teacher when she was fifteen and it has left her scarred and a little guarded, and it’s a large reason why she has a glittery facade.

Background.

Caleb Perthshire is a contradictory creature, and there’s no denying that. On one end of the spectrum he’s stoic, poised, yet still charismatic. On the other end lurks a depth of content, thoughts, and feelings that are waiting to flood out. Though often broody and calculating, the blond is generally a bundle of enthusiasm, curiosity, and energy — though it’s all locked up deep within him. Caleb tries to be everywhere at once, so as not to miss a thing. He has learned to pick and choose what needs his attention the most, and sort of floats about the rest of the time observing with a keen eye. He doesn’t mind floating about, though sometimes his restlessness catches up with him. Caleb truly needs something to pour his whole self into — something to distract himself. He tries to make the best of things, even if it means settling, as he tries to figure out where he fits into the grand scheme of things.

He appreciates the logic and simplicity of living life only in black and white, without the vibrant gradient of a full spectrum to choose from, but could never truly live it.
