So, I decided I was going to continue watching the original Star Trek series. (Because I loved the 2008 movie and wanted to see what it was based on.) And I honestly wasn't expecting to like it much because I am a CGI-bright pretty shiny graphics and explosions whore. Not to mention a lot of older shows/movies (pre 1980 or so) get on my nerves for reasons I can't explain.
But Its actually really good. A bit cheesy in parts, but good. Like I would sit and marathon the entire thing with someone gladly. I'm watching the pilot episode because I hadn't seen it, and I find it kind of funny that Chris Pine actually looks more like the original Captain Pike than he does Captain Kirk.
