Colonel Bleep
Created and written by Robert D. Buchanan and Jack Schleh, Colonel Bleep premiered in September of 1957 American and was the first cartoon to be broadcast in color. The characters in the show itself were in black and white, while the various backdrops and action effects were in color.
Bleep was a Futurian from the exoplanet Futura. He was dispatched to earth when it was detected that earth had discovered atomic power. The Colonel was sent to earth to defend it from the various villains, androids and other extraterrestrial threats that were also drawn to the planet by its atomic testing.
