I finally understand the last episode of season 3 of Turn. Good grief… How did I miss that? Abe’s father gave certain names to Simcoe, knowing his destructive tendencies. Richard knew those fields and whatnot “belonged” to Colonel Cooke and then delayed the trial long enough so Cooke would show up to get rid of Simcoe before Abe died. I’ve watched this show like three and a half times and just got that. He does care about Abraham and listened to Mary about saving his only son left.
