LIGHT GLOW & COLORING TUTORIAL
for this tutorial i'm going to be making a picspam with some shiny colors in it, so before i get right into coloring i'm going to need to chose my caps! load all your images into photoshop and resize/sharpen them as you like
alrighty, but these caps are awfully dark and in dire need of a psd. so throw one or two of those on there, aaah. much better
now, for the hard(ish) part! make a new layer above the cap you want to add a "glow" to. then use your eyedropper tool and select a lighter color from that cap. for example; say i wanted to add more of a glow to the bottom left image, i wouldn't select the white in the centre, but maybe an off white or light blue near by it.
next, go to your paintbrush tool and set your brush to hardness 0% and size around 150-200%. on your new layer paint a blob where you want the glow to be. change the layer type to "linear dodge" and adjust the opacity as needed.
finally, hover your curser on the line between your glow layer and the cap it's supposed to be going on top of and option-click (not sure what it is on a pc, sorry!) this will confine the glow only to the image beneath it.
and yeah! then just rinse and repeat as you like it ;) if you have any questions please let me know, i'd be more than happy to help!!! final product
