Sykosan Color Contest - D.Va Entry by RBL-M1A2Tanker (large version is in this link)

The first color contest I participated in was back in 2004.  Since then, I may have entered...two others.  Generally I don't participate, not when I have plenty to do as it is.  However, while I don't play the game, I really dig the Overwatch characters and their designs, and when @sykosan put out that he was running a coloring contest, well...figured maybe now was the time to try once again?

Overall, I like how this turned out.  I tried a couple different things to try to get the look right, but I also tried out a different trick with the layers.  A trick I found, unexpectedly enough, from the back of the Star Trek Boldly Going comic by one of the artists who worked on the Mirror Universe books, by applying a Flats layer above the lineart and then changing it to Color mode.  It gave the image a much warmer feeling, and a bit more rich color, in my opinion. I may do that more often, but we shall see!

I'm glad this is finished, and turned out as decently as it did. Best of luck to the other participants!
