Covergirl - Colorlicious
This line typically retails anywhere between $5-$7, and can be found in every major drugstore, plus Walmart and Target, and Ulta. They go on sale quite a bit, and I don’t think that I’ve ever paid full price for this lipstick.
My favorite thing about these lipsticks is how much they stick to my lips. They are the only lipstick that I would even consider wearing without a lipliner. They hold up really, really well on their own. The only reason to wear lipliner is if you want to make sure that this lipstick truly won’t come off without you removing it, and if you want to prevent feathering with some of the darker colors. I think that I’ve eaten a hamburger with this lipstick on and it’s lasted through it. Truly a champion lipstick.
These lipsticks come in an incredible amount of colors, so there’s bound to be a shade for everybody. Lots of nudes (and not just white-people nudes, but actual nudes for a lot of different complexions), lots of bright colors, and lots of easy/office appropriate colors.
The one downside to these lipsticks is the taste and smell. The smell goes away after a while, but even throughout the day, it will always taste mildly of soap. It’s not bad enough to stop me from wearing them, but it’s definitely there, and it’s definitely a bummer.
These lipsticks are fairly comfortable. There is a little bit of dryness there, but every long-lasting lipstick is a bit drying. But I find that using a lip scrub after wearing it, and applying a nice chapstick before bed, really eliminates any problems caused by its dry formula.
This is a matte lipstick line, or at least all of the lipsticks I have are matte.
Here is my final rating on the lipsticks, and below is a mini review of each individual lipstick color in this line that I have.
Wear time: 5/5
Comfort: 4/5
Transfer: 2/5
Opacity: 4/5
Packaging: 3/5
Overall: 4/5
1) 350 - Eternal: This is my perfect color. Semi-matte at first, and dries down to a complete matte.
2) - 330 - Divine: Bright purple! I need to wear this more.
3) 405 - Fairytale - Great color.
400 - Temptress - Great color, but is better for fairer complexions.
