Took @colourpopcosmetics Ultra Satin in Botanical out for a spin. Besides the consistency of the liquid and opaque coverage, the satin is a completely different animal then it's matte sister. It shares more in common with traditional lipsticks then liquid mattes. It doesn't dry down, it stays permanently tacky. There's some transfer when drinking, but overall it did stay on longer then most cream lipsticks. Will I let these minor annoyances keep me from buying more colors? Nope. Sure, liquid mattes are super easy and there's very little fuss with them, but sometimes it is nice having a non-drying alternative. And just look at that color! On my pale skin it's practically dayglo in person.
