The Colours of Music - Ep.2

Numb - Linkin Park

*I hope whoever reading this can understand 'cause English is not my first language.*

**This is also the first rock song I heard, and the first Linkin Park song I heard, so it means a lot to me**

The song begins with two waves of colours intertwining with each other - medium purple and white. The guitar enters and now there's a line of forest green snaking around the two waves in loops.

Chester's voice is a big wave of skyblue that almost swallows up the other colours. But I can still see the others scattering around my line of vision.

A small rock of the colour dark goldenrod appears briefly along with Mike's voice ("caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow"), skipping in front of other colours like it's on the surface of a lake.

The chorus hits and Chester's voice shifts into a royal blue colour in the form of many arrows. There are also some smaller pale green arrows among those bigger blue ones. They all shoot from my left to my right, leaving some gaps which is dark indigo with tiny sparkling light golden dots like stars.

The chorus ends and the second verse starts. Chester's voice is now split into two shades of blue - skyblue and steel blue. They still snake around each other and take up most space, leaving just a little bit for the dark indigo to be visible.

Then, at "falling apart", sandy yellow glitter falls down from above, and just a second later, the dark goldenrod rock makes another appearance. The rock's gone for a few second before reappearing. Chester's "...is more than I CAN TAKE!" explodes into a cloud of dark red dust. I literally almost stumble and fall on my butt seeing this.

But the chorus soon starts again and the angry red calms down to be a soft lava-like colour. Then, cornflower blue rains down on the red colour like small pieces of meteorites, before exploding into smoke at my feet.

We are now getting to the bridge. The lava red waves still splash in front of my eyes for a second for before turning into an angry shade of a burning fire. Flames and flames rise along to Chester's voice.

Gray smoke fills what left of my vision, and the orange red-ish colour of the flames start turning redder and redder to become a red shade of firebrick just in time for the chorus to start.

Seemingly out of nowhere, a small bright yellow line begins to wrap around the red colour. Another line, this time green, dances on the red and sometimes intertwines with the yellow one at the word "nummmb".

Soon enough, medium blue shoots through the wall of red, making black holes like bullets have pierced through.

Blue takes over my line of vision but then quickly turns into a soft shade of lavender. The colour drips down like paint until all of it disappears as the song ends.

The Colours of Music - Ep.3

We Are - Hollywood Undead

*English is not my first language. Hope whoever reading this can understand me.*

**This is the first music video I watched of them. Not the first song though. That was Riot, through a Marvel or Marvel/DC edit :)))**

***Have a small headache today but I'm kinda in the mood for some colours so I still decided to write this one out. But my wording can be a bitttttt, well, bad.***

The song starts with a completely dark background and several droplets of three colours - cornflower blue, dark blue and white - falling down from above.

Then the drum comes in, and I now can see a thin mist of green tourmaline glitter falling down along with the droplets.

Danny's voice, as expected, is a warm yellow colour that resembles sand on a beach but in the form of paint in balloon bursting in front of me, splattering everywhere. The green tourmaline has now become the colour of the background, shifting to the beats of the drum.

We are getting to the first verse. The background darkens to become black. Johnny 3 Tears's voice is of a dark teal colour, also like paint but plummeting down from above in big drops, which kind of makes the song, and the atmosphere around me, gloomier. The drum, however, is soft velvet and in the form of small rocks, cutting through Johnny's voice.

The chorus hits and the background's colour remains the same. Danny's voice is different though. It's now the colour of warm sunshine in a summer day, but like falling stars shooting from my right, up high, to the ground in front of my left foot, and exploding as the result.

The second verse begins. The background is still black, a bit unusual but not bad. Angels red electric/lightning cracks, disrupting the darkness of the background. Sometimes, a few random small dots of the seashell colour or light skyblue appear but soon go away. I think they are the drum beats. J-Dog's "...I'm talking TO YOU!" finally explodes into a mess of blood red colour, painting everything else in it.

The chorus returns with the same sunshine yellow of Danny's voice, but a bit darker this time. The yellow shoots through the red coloured wall of J-Dog's voice like bullets. The wall crumbles, piece by piece but the bullets don't stop. The wall is soon no more and there's only some red dust blowing across the background behind the bullets.

The bridge is here. I can see the yellow bullets and the red dust melting away like they're made of ice. Everything is now black and white, like static of a broken television. But Danny's voice quickly fills my line of vision with waves and waves of a honey yellow colour. They rise up and down along to his voice. The others' (though mostly J-Dog can be heard) are a mixture of three colours - brick red, navy blue and lacoste green. These colours are like vines, crawling across the dark static background, behind the waves, mostly intertwining with each other but sometimes apart. The bridge ends with the waves crashing into the vines and all of them turn black.

Danny's soft "We are, we are..." looks similar to the colour of whiskey exploding in the dark like sparks of fire. But the whiskey sparks don't last long. It becomes a solid golden colour and it keeps on exploding, this time in bigger bursts.

The background changes into sapphire blue instead of the usual black and there's a bit of glitter in columbia blue. The explosions of Danny's voice have slowed down but the gold colour stays. The others' voices are of dark red and dartmouth green, like a hail of small arrows trying to pierce through the explosions.

We are getting to the end. The outro is both royal blue and white, but as the drum stops, the white disappears along with it, leaving the the other one to paint the world blue.

The Colours of Music - Ep.6

Restless Heart Syndrom - Green Day

As the piano gently begins as the intro of the song, a mist of pale violet dust falls from the sky onto a black background, only glittering so slightly with small white dots like stars on a dark sky.

Just before Billie Joe starts singing, a puff of pink smoke appears out of nowhere, blowing away the dust as the result. Paint drips down in front of my eyes. It is of a fern green colour, drop by drop splattering on the dark background. And when the drum comes in, more paint, but of a midnight blue colour splashes across my vision. Both of them soon mix together, but still of two distinguished colours and become a small whirlpool.

"...I'm elated..." and I now can see light yellow dust flies down lazily, softly landing on the paint and following the paint down the whirlpool. At "...to run away...", the paint finishes draining itself and the dust has covered everything in a bright yellow colour.

Then, we get to "...I think they've found..." and in front of the bright yellow, light coral coloured feathers fly down, slowly as if they are taking their time. The feathers are quickly joined by a bunch of indigo dandelions, going up and down just like they are dancing to the beat of the song.

We've reached the pre-chorus. I can see something is happening to the wall of yellow. Dark red starts blossoming at some spots, like blood on the bandage of an injured man.

The chorus hits. Fire bursts, burning the feathers and the dandelions away, flames licking at the vibrant colours, turning them into ashes. Dark red continues to spread everywhere, only stopping when the yellow has disappeared into a curtain of blood.

Something behind the blood explodes as we get to the instrumental part, splashing the red liquid all over the place. Some rocks of a dark slate grey colour fall down from above into the mess of dark red.

We're back to the pre-chorus as some hand grenades shoot out from left and right, landing on the blood, and near the rocks. At "...So what ails you..." to my suprise, roses follow the grenades, scattering everywhere, lying among the grenades and the rocks.

Then, when Billie sings "...You're a victim...", a pale turquoise spark appears, looking like a tiny shooting star, and starts jumping around. It jumps on the blood, the rocks, the grenades and the roses, dancing lightly to the sound of music.

At the end of the chorus, the blood vibrates and the spark has chosen a grenade to stay with, and wrap its colour around it. Just as the outro hits, the said grenade explodes, causing several more to do the same. The explosion is of an indian red colour, and now, everything is painted in it.

The Colours of Music Ep.5

Monsters - All Time Low (ft. blackbear)

*First language is not English. Hope anyone who's reading this can understand me.*

**This song just hit No.1 on the Alt Chart so I figure I should see the colours of it as my own way of celebrating with the ATL boys. Congrats to blackbear too.**

The song starts with Alex's voice as the intro. Many drops of what seems to be water, but in the colour of steel blue, rain down from above.

The intro ends and the drops are now gathering to become a small stream with the green grass of the instruments sprouts up along with the stream. At "...tunnel vision..." the colour of the stream shifts into a lighter shade of blue and the stream starts to go up and down as if there were small hills in its journey.

As the chorus about to begin, the stream ends its journey to become a small puddle. But it won't stay like that for long 'cause at "...do all the monsters..." a kyanite gemstone falls into the puddle and splashes water everywhere. The drops of water turns into a dark sea green colour, which now represents the instruments. The gemstone liquifies itself and now looks similar to dark blue paint. The blue and green paints both drip down in front of my vision to cover everything just as the chorus ends.

The second verse begins with the paint dissolving away, leaving behind a black background and many clouds of smoke in the colour of medallion yellow, which is blackbear's voice.

At "...tell me pretty lies..." the smoke somehow solidifies into something that looks like snowballs, dropping down from above. They stack together in front of the dark background.

The chorus hits again and this time, there's a cornell red coloured brick crashing through the stack of snowballs. Cornell red takes over my vision, but it soon cracks and falls down like pieces of glass, along with dripping gold paint that seems to appear out of nowhere.

Then at "...why am I a sucker...", small yellow green leaves follow the pieces of glass in a slow tumbling motion. As the last bits of glass, paint and leaves disappear out of my line of vision, the bridge comes on. This time, there are feather in an alice blue colour fluttering around lazily. Light blue glitter falls from the sky behind the feathers, lightens up the previous dark background.

The bridge ends, and before the chorus can pick back up, the feathers burn quickly at the three beats and the light blue glitter turns into an angry, dark shade of red. The feathers cause everything to burn bright, adding more heat to the scene. Lavender coloured droplets of paint drip down at "...why am I a sucker..."

The fire burns even the paint, and soon enough, all around me is aflame. Finally, there's only the outro left and the world darkens into a ashy colour as the song has come to end.

The Colours of Music - Ep.4

The Sharpiest Lives - My Chemical Romance

*English is not my first language, so I do hope whoever reading this can understand me.*

**My favourite MCR song btw. This song deserves more love.**

The intro creeps in with bright, flashing white light on a dark background. Gerard's voice soon replaces the flashing light with clouds and clouds of emerald green smoke. I find this a little odd as I was expecting a darker colour. The whisper along to Gerard's voice in the background is of a blue-grey colour, also in the form of clouds of smoke but smaller.

His voice becomes clearer as midnight blue coloured canon balls shoot out from the darkness of the background, smashing and crashing into a dim fire of the background vocal, which is of the colour coral orange.

"...the boys in the band" is where the fire bursts into a burgundy red mess which is now the colour of the background. Gerard's voice has turned into a powder blue glob and started to crawl on the red wall like some kind of vines, or like Venom in Spiderman (which is more accurate but I honestly don't know how to describe this well).

The vines/Venom-like thing becomes a ball of paint before the beginning of the chorus and as the chorus hits, the paint ball pops, all the drops of paint turn into a indigo colour, falling down in front of a background that has soften to the colour of fire brick.

The chorus ends and there's a puddle of indigo on the red floor. The female voice splashes a spurt of lemonchiffon yellow on the background but it quickly dissolves in small bubbles.

The second verse starts. The puddle slowly turns into green and grows in amount, then starts flowing like a small river on the darkened background. The colour of the river changes like it's on the colour spectrum, from green to yellow, and from yellow to red.

To the pre-chorus, the red meets a cliff and falls dowm like a waterfall, and turns into a dark shade of lavender.

At "...shot to remember!", there's a wave crashing into me and the water is now of a golden colour. Droplets of water rains down and shifts into golden glitter, almost like a starry night in an open space without artificial lights.

After "...a sharpest lives are the deadliest to lead", some of the glitter explodes into small, yellow bursts, lighting up the black background.

The "OW!" is the biggest explosion and is of a burning orange-red colour. We are getting to the intrumental part. The drum is cerulean, and the guitar sounds like antique white, which is unusual 'cause most guitar part are of stronger, darker colours. But it does stand out on the dark background. The drum looks like bouncy balls falls dowm from above and the guitar is a string that loops around, sometimes catching a bouncy ball or two.

Again at "...a shot to remember!", something cool happens. Dark red splashes across my vision like blood from a slashed neck. Behind the red, bright light green cracks randomly before bursting into tiny explosions. The chorus goes on as the red drips down like paint, or blood, slowly covering the green and the dark background. As the chorus ends for real, the red becomes a whirlpool and gradually drains away, before everything turns black. The song is finished.

The Colours of Music - Ep.1

Holiday - Green Day

(Live Tokyo, Japan - 2011)

*I can't put the song on here due to copyrights thingy, but I put the link to the video here. I hope whoever reads this can understand me 'cause my mother tongue isn't English and I don't normally write these kinds of stuff.*

The song starts with the sound of people cheering and screaming, which is a mess of a variety of colours smashed and mixed together. Then the first voice speaks up and a blindingly bright white light flashes in front of my eyes.

Billie's "Do yOu wAnT tO sTaRt a fUckiN' wAR!!!" looks mostly like the other voice earlier but just a little bit more blue. His "VIVA LA REVOLUCION!!!" sounds bright red, in the form of small droplets like rain, all fall down as if trying to drown everything else.

As the music comes on, black splashes around like paint, which soon becomes the background for the thin red line to dance around like GOTG Yondu's arrow. Blobs of dark blue fall down from the sky, splash everywhere but disappear almost immediately.

Here comes the chorus and green bullets shoot through the dark shadows, then explode into smoke like poison and acid-coloured droplets.

The second verse starts with the colour orange burning on the egde of my vision like flames. The flames leave behind charcoal dust lingering in my line of vision.

The chorus picks up again and light blue flashes behind the thin mist of dark charcoal dust, then soon enough, the dust is no more.

Unexpectedly, the solo guitar part is of a bright yellow colour. Usually, solo guitar sounds more red, or dark blue, or any other strong, maybe even aggressive, colour. But the yellow is still there, snaking around on the dark green background, sometimes meets with and twists around a small floating blob of a random colour.

The blobs gather and light up to the drum beats and Mike's bass adds some splashes of cream colour.

The next two lines Billie says "Turn off the light!" and "The representative from Japan now has the floor." actually sound like the colour of dull gray with a thin layer of black dust on it.

Then the lyrics of the brigde brings the angry dark red colour, which reminds me of blood a lot. The loud "BANG BANG" flashes two green-ish white lights on the dark red background before fading away along with the dark red colour as the brigde comes to an end. The chorus picks up again and the background is now of a light blue colour. Billie's voice manifests into a sandy yellow line dancing around me and when the final word of the song is sung ("holiday"), the yellow line fades into silver and merges with the green colour of the drum. All colours slowly fade away as the song end.
